That Bandito cask is finally something creative from LC. They must have ran out of vanilla beans.

At Bosque and this Huell Melon Smash is all sorts of great. I think i can deal with The Usual kicking.

Currently onto a Sunshine Stout...really good but not really my cup of tea, personally. Like a liquid tootsie roll.

I had the sunshine stout today. Looked like a pilsner. You're right it's all chocolate and not much of anything else. It really screwed with my mind. I enjoyed it but probably not something I'd order again. Had a melon smash too. Lovin' that beer right now.

So The Usual is gone? Damn. I shared a growler of that tonight and it was just next level. So tasty.

I need to give that Huell Melon a try with a clean palate.

Latest batch of Marble Pilsner is draft only. Made me get my kegerator out of its 6 year hibernation and replace the lines so I could hook a half-barrel up. It's all I want to drink while I'm sticking to my couch. Daniel from Cumbre brought some BEER by and that was tasting pretty great as well.

Will be visiting Taos and Santa Fe next week. La Cumbre is the one spot we'll probably have time to hit when we fly into ABQ. Do they offer cans/bottles anytime or on a special release basis? If I could only hit one spot; would that be the one?

Edit: Had a second to read the first page. Will try to sneak in Bosque as well. Question still remains, cans/bottles at La Cumbre anytime?

Yes, cans and bottes at La Cumbre anytime. I'd definitely make time to do both if possible. You won't regret visiting Bosque. Not sure if you're a lager guy, but La Cumbre does those well and aside from BEER, you won't find any of them canned or bottled, whereas you can find the rest of their core lineup in stores.

Awesome, Thanks!! So to find Elevated or Dank, I'd need to hit the distro? Any recommendations as to where I could find those...?

Whole Foods in ABQ or Santa Fe, Jubilation in ABQ, Susan's in Santa Fe.

So, Usual has kicked at both Bosque ABQ locations?

Per their website taplists, looks to be kicked at both spots.

Both should be available at the brewery.

I was at Anodyne on Friday night and ordered a can, thinking (naively) that it would be the 6/14 cans...nope, early March.

But I did discover we're getting Urban Family Brewing beers in New Mexico. They had a bottle there at Anodyne. Also saw a lot of Old Stock Cellar Reserve and BA Rasputin bottles.

How they served me a pour of Piraat Triple Hop:

The Whole Foods in Santa Fe's taplist is more on point and the servers seem to know what they're doing. I didn't get that impression at the Sandia Saloon. They do have a ridiculous Sunday special though. 8 chicken wings and a beer for $8. Holla.

I visited Quarter Celtic on Friday and what the fuck? I was thinking we were going to start seeing beers like Canteen in the glory days (Panama Joe, St. Bob's, etc.) but I couldn't even finish a 4 ounce pour of their IPA. Not sure what's going on there.

Also visited the "brewery" across from the hot springs at Ojo Caliente. They had 4 beers on tap and 3 were outside beers (Happy Camper, Stella and something else). Their own beer was kicked. Basically it looked like an advanced homebrew operation. Ojo Caliente is as incredible as ever though.

Can we start an online petition to make The Usual a year-round beer? With a name like that, how the hell it was gonna be a one-off? I'm not in love with the Azacca or Huell Melon that are on currently. And damn, I just do not like Riverwalker.

Unfortunately, you're spot on about Quarter Celtic. Stopped in there to try the IPA while looking for a growler fill. That IPA was not going home with me.

Visited Second Street and was really impressed with their hoppy stuff. Highlights were their Pivotal and Tribuchet IPAs. Burger was on point too.
    Tomorrow- Bosque and La Cumbre.
