I know this was released again yesterday. Can't find details any where online. Is it at their Schaumburg location? Anyone know if there's an option to get a crowler to go?

    Much appreciated!

I believe this is only at their Schaumburg location. I was there yesterday around 1:30pm, and the bartender mentioned they had about 80 crowlers left (4 per person). They also mentioned they'd be filling up plastic howlers once all the crowlers were gone. I'm sure you'll be fine, but I would give them a call just to be sure.

    Cheers!

I was there yesterday for the release in Schaumburg. Line was surprisingly long. Waited for an hour to get the beer once the place opened. Allotment was 4 bottles. They didn't start selling crowlers until all the bottles were sold out which was after about a little more than an hour. Then allotment of 2 crowlers was allowed. There were quite a few left when I left around 1PM.

Separately the beer is fantastic and I will buy it any time they brew it.

Edit: I assumed 2 crowlers were allotment since everyone around me got 2. I should have gotten 4 now knowing that was actual allotment. The beer really impressed me.

crowlers were still at 4 a person at 5pm last night. I believe there is a possibility of kegs (and therefore crowlers) being shipped to the wheeling location, but this will depend on how much they go through in Schaumburg. Great beer and I highly going to get it on tap or a crowler if you can!

Thanks everyone. Called and said they're still doing can crowlers at the Schaumburg location. Excited to try it. Between this and Mikerphone Special Sauce, it's about time Chicago catches up on NE style IPAs.

I've had quite a few Julius from Tree House (I've been to Tree House brewery and had many of their beers fresh and canned on same day), and honestly when I ordered Juicy at the Ram and smelled it, that was the first thing that popped into my head: Julius. The aroma just filled the place! Great (for the lack of a better word) juicy taste and mouthfeel is wonderful. This beer makes me far less inclined to look for Tree House stuff.

Drinking a crowler of Juicy as we speak right now.

AFAIK Schaumburg borrowed the crowler filler from Wheeling. Hopefully they keep it -- the plastic howlers they did last time were by far the least of the three options.

Draft > bottle > plastic howler with three days on it.

But yeah, Juicy is killer. Shaun knows what he's doing. Sorry to see the secret getting out (I've been to all four Side Note releases, plus the semi-secret one for Meh-He-Coco), but it was inevitable.

I really appreciate these types of tips! My wife just stopped while out running errands to grab us a couple of crowlers to enjoy tonight for my birthday and by the comments here have me excited to try it! Would never have known about it otherwise. Greatly appreciated!

I just cracked one. It's fantastic. If this is what the east coast style ipas have become I guess I get the hype.

Just grabbed some and a taste of it super impressed. Get it if you can. I don't think I have ever said that about a ram brew.

The only thing worse than waiting in line for beer is complaining about people waiting in line for beer.

Totally dude. Because waiting in line for an IPA is definitely not ridiculous, at all.

Doesn't seem like in this instance a line makes much sense since it was available for many days but I guess to each their own. The fear of missing out is a powerful thing I guess.
