Bottle Logic Brewing Thread

You guys are aware that the bottle count for b1 was well in to the 4800 or so.

 

I had 5 leches. Drank one. Was so disappointed, I traded the rest away like hot cakes. But I did hear there was variation with bottles, so maybe that was it. I drank Mexican Cake right after which I thought was better. Then I had Huna which blew both away by a mile. What do you think of leche in comparison? Curious if I just drank a dud bottle.

 

For me:

Quinquenio = Abraxas > Huna > Leche Borracho > Mexican Cake > Xocoveza

Not saying any are bad but I prefer more heat (in terms of chilis) in my mexican style stouts

 

So, if what I have heard is true, and they actually brewed about three times as much this year, that would put bottle count around 14,000 bottles for this year (assuming they increased bottle count proportionally). Which kind of make sense since (at least in the above 10,000 range) as there are at least 2,340 "guaranteed" bottles (T3 & the dinner attendees) and they've already said there will be local distribution.

Personally, as a non-trader, I hope that some day they bottle so much of it that I can just walk into the local grocery and buy some.

 

I got two quinquenio. Looking forward to cracking them open.

 

Opened one last night. You won't be disappointed.

 

Stoked to have got bottles this time around. Online sales are so much better than lining up.

 

Who is excited for the dinner tonight? Really curious as to what the FO variant will be.

 

As for the dinner, which session? I think the variant will be pretty awesome.

 

So jealous, fiancee and I really wanted to go to the dinner. Food and beer photos later?

 

Only the SOB's that got the tickets, those are the only few are excited

I said I was going to skip on the dinner (in this very thread even), but after I saw the menu I couldn't really pass it up.

 

side note, how is b1 FO side by side with vr? Have one last bottle of b1 and wonder if I should find someone with a vr to open them together and compare.

 

At the dinner right now. Pretty neat, the FO variant is with Mostra coffee.

I had them side by side and i preferred VR. This was last year. Full Disclosure: i think Ground State is better than FO.

 

FO with Mostra Coffee is hunnits. Hope they bottle this.

 

That being the case, I'd gladly trade my GS for your FO.
