    It's very 'clear'.

"As a thank you for your continued support, if you purchased 6 or more bottles (either at the day-of sale, or through pre-sale) you will be gifted a bottle of vintage 2015 Golden Angel. Proof of purchase and ID necessary."

Scanning their Facebook page, they've responded to some comments and the 2015 bottle is for anyone who purchased 6+ regardless of whether you are returning the bottles or aging them, and is good for the 6 month period they are accepting returns.

If a little age fixes these, I don't mind sitting on them for 4-8 weeks and getting a free bottle to go along with it. Props to WW for going the extra mile on this one.

Didn't they only offer 6 or 12 bottles.

So if you bought it- you get a 2015....

If you bought it day of at the release you could buy anywhere up to 6. So if you bought the full allotment that day you get a 2015, if you bought less you dont.

And that statement was in the buyback section. So it was questionable whether it applied if you weren't doing a buyback. They have since clarified this in the comments of their FB post, after I asked them.

I'm guessing this means they have somewhere in the vicinity of 200 bottles of 2015 available, potentially. Those hoarders! I thought I was bad with 5 bottles of 2015 still in my cellar.

    "Regarding 2016 Golden Angel:

Here at Wicked Weed, we love being a mixed culture brewery and all the complexity that comes with it. With that, after the bottle shock/refermentation issue we saw in this year’s Golden Angel, we have put in new fail-safes to make sure we never see a reoccurrence of the issue. We’ve kept a close watch on Golden Angel 2016 since its release, running lab tests and weekly sensory analyses of the beer. We have seen a steady increase in the quality of the beer, and a reduction in sulphur compounds. Each bottle is undergoing its own unique refermentation, and all are progressing towards becoming the beer we intended. As of right now, we cannot guarantee that every bottle is 100% perfect, but we can say that overall we have seen a significant reduction in off-flavors in the past few months. We will continue to give updates on the bottles as we monitor their progression.

We are still accepting buybacks of this year’s’ bottles until December 31st, and are also offering a bottle 2015 Golden Angle as a thank you for your loyalty and patience. We also understand that every situation is different, and are handling issues on a case-by-case basis. If you have any questions, concerns, or issues, please do not hesitate to email us at [email protected]. We produce these beers because of the journey, beauty, and complexity that accompany brewing with mixed culture. We thank you again for your patience as we continue to monitor this situation."

Has anyone opened a bottle recently? I'm curious to see if anyone is still seeing major off-flavors. I haven't opened any of mine yet in hopes that any off flavors that may be around fade.

I've opened 4-5 bottles since release. Last try was Sunday. Just as vomitrocious as ever

Opened a bottle last night and had the same butter fart experience, I'd like to see a response from WW.

I have only opened one of mine so far, and had zero problems, hopefully the rest will be the same *fingers crossed*

We opened a bottle a month ago and it still had the same off flavors and interesting smell...not as bad as the one we opened in June though. I was told by a brewer to let it sit for another 3 to 6 months before trying it again.

I have only opened one as well, and it only had a faint bad smell when opened. I let it sit for a couple of minutes and it tasted fine.

I haven't opened any to date.

I had a pour on release day via tap/keg and it was great. Few minutes later they pulled it from the tap list and stopped serving it. I thought it was weird at the time because the pour I had was fantastic.

lol what? They've released multiple responses, offered cash refunds, and giving you a free 2015 golden angel for your trouble. What else do you require?

All mine are sitting there, looking pretty collecting dust, awaiting the, " All Clear" sign from Wicked Weed.
