I was there about 30 minutes early, can confirm there was a line around to the back of the building. Probably 30-40 people at least, and everyone was buying a case. With people continuing to show up as we were in line. Sorry if you made the drive and got shutout, that sucks!

When I was in town Friday, the gas station across the street still had bottles of NugMo and Sol Hunter. And Courtyard and Cellar had bottles of NugMo, Sue-Gal, and the last Sosus drop.

Hopefully you stopped by Pulpit Rock too. Saftig and Loopy Lynn are great IPA's.

    I wouldn't miss the ATG 70k at C&C either!

I dig that dude. Take the high road. I have been there and been places where they have sold out 20 minutes prior to my arrival. As much as it sucks I personally do exactly what you did. Let them enjoy theirs. They got their first. Luck of the draw. Good karma.

I always assume that if I'm going to a release, despite what anyone has said, there is a chance to miss out. It's a pretty unstable beast sometimes, but that is what makes it fun, right? I'm going to continue to tell myself that. Either way throw a few back, meet some cool people, share a bottle or two.

I just grabbed a couple of bottles of GDH p'Sue, just sitting out there on the shelf of my local store.

These will be my first ever Decorah-bottled p'Sues. I'll open one of them in a day or two.

Bombers and growlers of golden nugget used to be one of my favorite beers. Any opinions on the quality of recent cans of gnug?

I hadn't had GNugg in a long time... Not sure if I'd ever had it in 12oz bottles or 16oz cans. Used to love it in the bombers though. Recently I've had it on tap, and it sparked my interest again... I bought a 4 pack and I think it tastes REALLY good. To each his own though...

I think the cans of Nugg are pretty good, especially the later ones. I have a bottle of NugMo in the fridge that I might crack into tonight . . .

I realize it's only been 45 minutes, but anyone try X-Hops Silver yet?

    No shit.

I would assume it's true to the X-Hops mission (totally experimental hops), but then again, Gold was all known varieties.

I haven't been in person but WineStyles in Coralville tweeted about a new batch of TG cans today

Tried the GDH 'Sue. It seemed to have an enhanced piney aroma, taste, and bittering, I think, but I didn't have either a FL or IA regular 'Sue to compare it with side by side. Very good, though.

I drove up Saturday and was too late to get KS. I got the tweet before I got to the taproom so the missus and I just went to Mabes for pizza, then over to Pulpit Rock for Loopy Lynn. No growlers of that, but I brought home a growler of Saftig which was gone on Sunday. I never even went to the TG taproom....I've got Nugmo and galaxy sue at home...there wasn't anything else there I was interested in.

I've had KS many times, so I don't get too worked up about it. I wasn't even going to buy a whole case of it (too much hassle trading and I won't drink it fast enough). The last release I didn't even drive up or try to get any. Life's too short and there's way too much great beer to get worked up about that stuff. Honestly, I like Loopy Lynn better than KS anyway.

My buddy got the last 11 bottles of KS. He gave me one Tuesday which I promptly drank that night.
