Tired Hands (June 2016)

So anyone know what time was the latest you could get there and still get an allotment? I like to track each week to get an idea for future weeks. Wish I'd kept a chart.

 

You nailed the sentiment I've been expressing about it.

 

If it still sucks, as some have claimed recently, then this has been going on since at least February to my noticing.

I first noticed it on draft at the Brew Cafe at the end of February.

 

I got there at 5:45 and when I got to the front of the line there was 1 case of Hophands left and a good amount of Grassman. Two weeks ago when the limit for Hophands was 1 case I got there at the same time but it was already sold out.

 

Grassman sold out around 615 or so.

 

So it seems pretty safe to say these days as long as you get there by 5pm you should be assured full allotment no matter what type of release it is.

 

Depends on how long the line already is at 5pm. With Milkshakes, arriving at five might not get you cans.

 

You must have been in line right around where I was, I got 2 4-packs of what looked like the last case or so of HopHands. I had a toddler strapped to me.

 

I'm so sick of everyone bringing their damn mules to these releases!

 

The last release I went to there was about an 8 month pregnant woman and it didn't appear she was even there with anyone. That is a good woman!

Is there not a date printed on tired hands cans?

 

They have been printing dates on the bottom of the for the past 2 months or so. I've gotten some that are impossible to read but most are legible.

They've been trying to do that cutesy thing that Oskar Blues (and others probably) do sometimes with little phrases too.

Great night Saturday at Fermenteria, wonderful as always. Wed, picked up the car from the dealer down the street and swung by to fill a growler and lo and behold a can night. Inline with great folks many pre-phish it seemed. Great sample and then to buy- got me both pricey I thought. Had me both. Hop hands in the can this batch doesn't compare. Seems to be not as bright, Grassman better but enjoying my Headhunter bottles more. Fun experience in line but won't repeat for the price. Will be back to drink and eat live.

 

Maybe its just my own personal experience and not EVERY time, but every time I have gone there, I have never been there before 5, and always was able to get as much as i want, of ANY kind of release.

 

Anyone heard grumblings about cans this week? Travels brought me close enough to hit a release and I'd love to grab some cans. I'll be stocking up on growlers either way but some cans would be great.

 

They normally post about it on Instagram the day before the release. Most recent releases have been on Thursdays
