I ended up finding some in Hamden. Same can date as you found.

 

Hartford County has some, call and check with Maximum Beverage in West Hartford and call Total Wine in West Hartford. Max Bev had a limited supply and is limiting sales to 2 pp at $5.99 as of 6:45 last night (6/23). Total Wine has 4 pks for sale, i think price is around $12.99. Note that Total Wine does not have them on the shelf as of this writing. Its actually a funny story how I found out about them... for what its worth, Total Wine is also selling 4pk pint cans of Evil Twin (Even More Jesus and Imperial Breakfast amongst others) for $9.99.

In West Hartford today and trying to get some Super Session for my brother-in-law. Max Beverage and Harvest are a bust. Any sightings today in West Hartford and/or Avon?

 

Not West Hartford or Avon, but Kay's in East Hartford supposed to be getting a drop after 3 PM

 

Just grabbed some at Riley's Liquors in Vernon...one two pack left. Also singles of Pioneer Trailblazer on the shelf as well.

 

Know of any in Litchfield County?

 

Could any of you super kind people recommend beer stores, worth the stop, in hopes of getting a single 4 pack of SoS (stop laughing) next week? I am travelling from NJ to Mystic with the family on 7/6 - 7/8 and I dream of having a fresh SoS on the dock at Abotts with the lobsta goodness...

I will be travelling the i-95 route north bound. I might be able to bring some Kane Head High or Carton 077xx cans to trade if that will help my odds.

I understand it's all about being in the area when it drops, but any information about stores near Mystic that are regular recipients of SoS would be greatly appreciated.

If you are driving up 95 i always recomend coastal in branford right off exit 54. When sip is around it usually will last a day or two, but they keep it in back like most stores, so you will have to ask. I am guessing we may see a new batch this week. Lawsons website say two batches this month, and as far as I know there has only been one.

 

If you like Abbotts, try Fords instead. Just do it. Don't ask questions. Thank me later.

And yes, SOS on the waterfront at either Abbotts or Fords would be nice. For a more local offering, I heard Outer Light brewing in Groton was bottling... be on the look out for that in local shops.

picked up 6/9 cans at Berlin Spirits today (thurs 6/30). They got it in the last 2 days because it was not there on Tuesday.

 

That's weird, I picked up 6/24 cans today from Putnam Plaza in Glastonbury/E Htfd, whichever side of the line that's in.

 

Not really weird under the circumstances. HDI, their distributor, is on a driver lockout so deliveries are really off schedule. Some stores have to go pick-up their beer.

 

I am going to be driving up to New England for a brewery tour from the 12th to 17th. Hoping to pick up some SoS in CT either on the way up or way back down. Any suggestions on where to stop along 684/84 to pick some up and typical delivery dates would be greatly appreciated. It looks like from this thread that the schedule is not consistent but would appreciate any information to help planning.

 

called around and the delivery trucker driver strike sure is messing things up. I doubt I'll get any as I leave tomorrow for CT and will be returning Friday. I will check out Outer Light and Ford's. Thanks for the tips!

 

Dichello is on strike right now and has been for weeks, be lucky that ANY of these are making it to stores in this time frame. they are relying on temps and college kids to get everything done.

 

I am headed to Vernon this afternoon, has anyone snagged SIP or any other kick ass IPA's in that area? Coming from Boston where I live and I've found CT has some great beers available we can't get in Boston.
