    1) Probably a different batch of Mash
    2) Judging by the dates, Mash 2015 either didn't get flash pasteurized or was one of the very first batches to get that treatment and they may not have had it working correctly.

In theory, M14 should be properly flash pasteurized even if the Mash component had a latent infection. "In theory" obviously being the key words there, since there have been a lot of other "in theory" solutions to the Bruery cleaning up their beers.

I'm gonna have to show how much I haven't been paying attention here but I thought the only bruery beer getting pasteurized was White Chocolate. Clearly I am misinformed...?

They didn't specifically say what beers are getting pasteurized, but it would seem foolish for them to not be pasteurizing the majority of their clean beers considering the scope of their issues. I don't see their communication anymore since I'm not in any of their clubs, but if they aren't pasteurizing the majority of their clean beers, I'd be mighty curious to know why.

I always wondered why they put the wild production in the new (clean building) rather than bumping clean beer to the new digs. Here's hoping that this is just the tail end straggler to a lengthy issue that is pretty much wrapped up.

I've always wondered this as well, seemed obvious to me to move the BA non sour program to the new place, but probably something I don't know/considered.

I suspect there are two major issues to consider:
    1) Setting up a space for brewing/primary fermentation requires a significant amount of construction work as far as grading, plumbing, etc. Doing that all over again and tearing out the brewhouse from their current facility would've been a huge expenditure.
    2) Licensing for a storage facility may be different (maybe less onerous?) than for a production facility. No idea about this one but I'm guessing there's less inspection required if nothing else.

No SMM and I think beers come out the following week. The little book we got says no SMM.

Hi there, is there any one else on this thread that is either a current member of the armed forces or a veteran? Would like to know how many service members there are out there in the society? I myself serve full time in the New York Army National Guard after five years on active duty with the 25th Infantry Division in Hawaii (intermixed with a year in Iraq).

Going to have to follow up on this. I'd scale back my Stout/Barleywine buying if that's the case. Still good stuff but I don't need 6-8 bottles of a pasteurized English barleywine or 20% stout...

They are still suggesting that the Anniv beers can be laid down for years to come... but maybe i'm reading too much into that.

Pontificating here isn't going to get me anywhere though, ill fire off an email and see what's what.

In the 2015 thread, Patrick Rue made a post in December about Pasteurizing that ended with this sentiment:

"I'm sure there are interactions between oxidation, yeast metabolism, yeast death, etc. that make my explanation look a bit simple. However, in beers above 12% ABV, where the beer has been aging long term in barrels, the yeast isn't really viable, so I think the flavor impact of living yeast itself in these sort of beers is limited."

So, that doesn't really answer which releases are/aren't, but it suggests an openness to more pasteurizing.

I will be there saturday afternoon, not sure how late though. All depends on when my driver wants to gtfo of the OC and cruise on back down to san diego.

Probably be heading up after mostra FO taps at bottle logic... although I guess I could rearrange and go to Bruery first haha

My current plan is BL for bottle pickup, probably a pour or two depending on line and then over to Bruery. With Mostra being down here it wouldn't surprise me if they had a little bit laying around somewhere.

Does anyone know what extra bottles went up for sale from the last society email? Nothing looked too special when I checked.

They made it seem like they added bottles today, but maybe they meant tomorrow? I don't know, doesn't look like they added anything. I was pretty confused.
