    it's $8.99-9.99 here in Madison for a 4-pack.

Seem to remember $12.99-14.99 last year.

Yes it was more expensive last year as only the brewery was selling 4pks. More volume and distro to stores means lower prices for us. Cheers!

Hard to tell if I like this or Tyranena Balling the Queen better. Who cares!

Dragon Flute blew me away, when I was in Wisconsin last. By far, the best brew I've had by local breweries, there (well, except Apple Ale). Can't wait to get some more.

I feel exactly the same way. K4 doesn't make bad beer, but they also don't make beer that I'm excited to drink.

So my first bottle of Idiot Farm was way different than on tap. No sweet juiciness but bitter and with an alcoholic burn. Has anyone else found this? Did I just have a bad bottle? Was my pallette off?

Late to the party, but I finally went to K4 when I visited over Memorial weekend. Wasn't too impressed with FF, I thought their pales were their best offerings (Tokyo Sauna and Dragon Flute). The one thing that really blew me away though was their pale cream ale, Mieux, Mieux. I've never had a hoppy cream ale before and it was amazing.

Did this make it to Woodmans?

Probably. Giant display of it at the HyVee on PD/McKee.

Thanks! I only have so much time to go and buy beer during my lunch at work :grinning:

Lol. I just had another bottle and although it was much better than my initial bottle, I didn't think it was as good as the tap version. Just my opinion thought.

Karben4 just posted a bottle recall:
    https://www.karben4.com/announcing-voluntary-recall/
Apparently some of the bottles may have a defect. Checked the empties of Idiot Farm that I polished off over the holiday, and none of them were affected. Hopefully there's still some left in stores after the recall, because I was about to go back for more.

    Bummer.

Slightly off topic but do the 6 pack boxes have a date on them? I was at Woodman's last week and I blew off all the Karben 4 stuff because I remember not seeing dates.

The boxes do not, but you can open the box and look at the neck of the bottle. It is pretty easy to read.

Distributors have been going around and checking individual bottles to make sure they're ok and pulling the ones that aren't, so I'd imagine by the weekend anything you still see on the shelf is safe. We just got a fresh batch of unaffected Idiot Farm.
