It really is an awesome beer. Absolutely love it. Drank about 5 bottles of it since the release.

Nah, you're fine  Don't even have a problem with people trading for more of 'em right there on the spot. Definitely hoping next year's release will afford everyone a few more bottles, though!

Same. Apparently they're aging it in Rye whiskey barrels this next time. VR clone?

We are aging medianoche in both bourbon barrels and rye whiskey barrels in effort to increase the output of medianoche for 2017.

HMLS has Dickel aged Ten FIDY. Good as always, but probably the least of the BA Ten FIDYs I've had. Weasel did not have it.

Wild Woods has an Eagle Rare aged sour stout. It wasn't my thing but sour stout fans may want to check it out.

I gave Jagged Mountain another shot when I saw Devil’s Abyss listed. I liked this one a lot, full, rich RIS, strong bourbon. A little soy sauce going on, but being a BCBS fan, I was OK with it.
I also tried their BA Split-Board, an oatmeal stout. Thin, watery and kind of weak all around.
I also tried their BA Ubermountain which they describe as a SMaSH barleywine. First it smelled skunked, like a warmed up Heiny. It didn't taste skunked, but it was difficult to get that scent out of my thoughts. Weak barrel, weak taste. I prefer malty style BWs, so this didn't work for me. But it wasn't hoppy either, it was kind of nowhere.

If it wasn't Devil's Abyss I'd ignore JM altogether.

Hey, this is fun. I'm from IL, and have family in CO. I was just out there for 2 weeks. I drove so I was able to come back with a LOT of beer - enough to make the 1,000+ mile drive with screaming children totally worth it. Thanks for this post. I was able to find some Diebolt BA Commodore as I was perusing one shop. Liked it enough that I went back and bought a bottle to bring home. Great beer. I also scored Avery Xolotl and Callipygian. Had the Xolotl already, little spicier than I had hoped. Good, but would be no where near my top BA stouts Really looking forward to the Callipygian. Also scored some other CO BA beers from Backcountry, Crooked Stave, and River North, but they weren't stouts so I'll leave it at that.

I like that BA Commodore. Not really my favorite style, but that one stood out for some reason. It just had a very good base to it.

Uncle Jacobs, Tweak, and Callipygian were all fantastic. Xolotl was disappointing to many - too spicy I think - tasted a bit weird. But generally with Avery Gold foil they are either really good or somewhat challenging.

Finkel & Garf will have a keg of the BA Imp Stout for their Anniversary this weekend if anyone wants to get a fix while waiting for January
