@HarryS Any insight into bottle counts on the stouts?

 

There was a post by their Facebook account answering a question about it that said around 300 of each.

 

Actually about to do a final count right now. I'll keep you posted, but around 300 each bottle sounds about right. Give me a few hours + I'll confirm.

 

+ for those of you who love to make things up, no, Brunch On This has absolutely nothing to do with Cycle's amazing stouts. We're huge fans of their stuff down here.

 

+ I would agree with those saying the first batch of Tha Green Monsta was a bit too bitter. This batch, though, not even close. John tweaked the recipe a bit, + it's most definitely closer to the true NE style IPA's we've all grown to love. You'll find this out tomorrow if you come.

I believe so. Bottles will definitely be gone, but I'm leaning towards a yes that the cans will last.

 

Any word if the line has cleared? Thinking about driving down and picking up some cans.

 

No line, just walked up, grabbed one of each bottle and a couple 6 packs.

No worries man, I figured by the time I got down there from Fort Lauderdale any line would be cleared but never hurts to ask. I was pretty excited there was still bottles left when I got there as I was expecting cans only. Green Monsta is pretty damn tasty and my wife is enjoying Lets kick it.

 

This is my guess as to what happened.

At 7AM, there were already people saying there were about 150 people in line, so I'm thinking people assumed that by 8:30/9, we'd be passed 300. I think that would've happened, if not for the fact that it started pouring. Not sure if it was the same in Wynwood, but I'm 15 minutes north + the rain didn't stop for 2 hours. Think that also convinced some not to go. When the line finished, there were less than 2 cases of both Big Poppa + Everybody Dance Now left, + about 6 of Brunch On This left (we had more bottles of BOT than any of the others). I've heard from quite a few people that they just didn't want to show up + not get bottles.

Not soon after the line finished, more people came up + bought some extras since we lifted the limit, but new customers came as well, + we sold out of Big Poppa, + Everybody Dance Now within 30 minutes. As of 6PM (when I left work), we still had about 20 bottles of Brunch left. Don't think it'll last the night, but if they do, they'll be sold out by the end of tomorrow night's event. Most attending have been asking if there are any bottles left.

Also, both cans sold extremely well.

 

Went to the release. Great beer as usual, especially Big Poppa. Not trying to rub it in for those who couldn't attend but that's the best stout I've ever had with coconut.

 

@HarryS Cool, must have made it in that sweet spot right after the lines cleared and before all the bottles sold out, seemed like they were down to the last few when I was there. Any idea if cans will be left on Monday at open? Want to grab a couple more sixers of each if I can. Thanks.

 

Hey dude. We actually won't be open tomorrow. Not only because of the 4th, but it's the only day we close. We'll definitely have some left, so come by Tuesday (open at 2) if you want some. Thanks for the support, man!
