Kicking off the month with a fresh batch of Morph. The brewing team is proclaiming it the best batch yet. Idaho 7, Nelson Sauvin, and Simcoe. Happy 4th all!

That looks so cloudy and juicy wow. It will get distributed to stores right?

Yes, next week it will go out. Till then it will be for sale in the taproom all weekend and staying cold in our coolers.

Think there'll be any left at the taproom later next week?

Hopefully. But it's tough to predict around holiday weekends what volume we leave us.

This first batch of Harborside is likely going to be taproom only except a few kegs out to bars. The second batch might hit distro.

Just got back from the brewery and I agree it's my favorite Morph so far. Might have to go back and get another 4 pack for the weekend.

Agreed... This batch of Morph is outstanding. I think I've had like six of the last nine going back to March and this is better than all of those by a good margin. This or a slight variant should find its way into a regular named beer IMO...

Wow, looks just like Julius. And Idaho 7 OHTT was fantastic. Count me in.

To follow up my post above, I swung by the brewery today. What a beautiful chill day to be there, and to grab beer!

Tried your Pils, OHTT, and of course Morph. Your Pils was tasty, much improved from the first time I tried back in the fall. What's the IBUs on that one, and which hops do you use?

The OHTT didn't do it for me, a bit too much pine. But the Morph...for the love of God, brew this one again. You guys really nailed it with this one...straight up orange juice with a nice bitter grapefruit finish. I think I saw just about every table with a pint of Morph (it's a very distinct looking beer compared to the others).

Picked up two four packs for my roommate and I. Easily the best hop forward beer I've had from you guys yet...and 5.1% ABV...that's insane.

What are releases usually like? Holiday weekend have any impact?

Releases have seen more and more people showing up early, lines formed prior to opening. With that in mind, will be very interesting to see what the line next week will be for AB El Lechedor. The good thing, it stays on tap after bottles are out.

I got there about 1, it was the busiest I have seen in the handful of times I have been to the brewery so I can see what you mean.

Timbo release this weekend was very well-run, tons of help behind the bar to get everyone taken care of quickly. Line was semi-long at opening but was completely gone by the time we left at 11:45. Keytar bear was good, but he seemed to be having a lot of technical difficulties with his equipment. Line length was nowhere near what it was for bourbon el lechedor. I expect the AB el lechedor line next weekend to be longer than bourbon, probably reaching capacity inside with line stoppages for additional waiting outside after opening.

First people showed up at 9:25 for Timbo. It will most likely be earlier than that for AB Lech.

I walked in and was pleased to get my bottle of Timbo around 12:45pm on July 4. Hopefully people realize that, in all likelihood, this AB El Lech release will not necessitate a huge rush.

350 max allotments available on a hyped release that sold out in one shot last year, that people in line missed out on. Timbo had 450, and sours pull less people than stouts, especially at NSB.

    EDIT
Pretty sure AB Lech was a weekday 12:00pm release last year too.

Suprisingly, I'll be in Boston for AB Lech but we need to be in and out ASAP for our drive back to Indiana. What's expected from a release like this? 9 a.m.? How quickly does NS get through the lines?

And can't wait to watch the Sox beat up on the Rays! Cheers!

I would wager that as long as one arrives by opening that there should be bottles left, though I'm still planning on arriving somewhat early. I remember when Elevensies was released they sold out in about 45 minutes and some people who got in line just before doors missed out. That was, I believe, a 400 bottle release with a 2 per limit, so you likely had a lot of people maxing out and it was a much more limited release. That said, this is one of, if not the most beloved Night Shift beer and that is why I'm still planning on an early arrival.

As for how quickly they move through...honestly, one of the biggest time drags is people tend to form a giant straight line at the door instead of spreading out at the bar. For someone like yourself who is just looking to get bottles the key is to get there early and hit the to-go line on the far left of the bar. Do that and you should be able to get out fairly quickly.
