Scotch/Whiskey Aged Beer

Central waters stuff isn't overly difficult to get. I also have to recommend the barley wine, and cassias sunset even though cassian can be tough to get.

 

2nd on Backwoods Bastard and Innis & Gunn. Innis isn't anything fancy but it's easy drinking

 

Is this thread looking for beers aged in Scotch barrels or barrel aged Scotch Ales? It seems like there is a mix of both.

 

Love Cassian, one of my favorites - but haven't been able to embrace the barleywine, though it nails your ass to the wall in short order at 11.5% ABV. Really looking forward to the CW BB Scotch Ale - anyone see this yet this year? Supposed to be out in June.

A touch of pedantry but it matters to the Scots ; Scotch is whisky , from anywhere else it is spelt whiskey.
I don't know why either

 

Looks great, but reportedly not widely distributed

 

Maker's Mark uses "Whisky" as well, I believe the only bourbon to do so.

 

Saw Clown Shoes Trillionaire yesterday, aged in Scotch barrels. Billionaire was good , so hopefully this is too..

Having loved their BBS and BB Cassian Sunset Stout, really looking forward to trying BB Scotch Ale and Cherry BBS.

 

Cherry you won't find outside of trades since it was WI only and released 2 months ago, but it shouldn't be difficult to pick up by that manner.
