I've purchased their Pale Ale and Torpedo in 12 oz and 16 oz cans. Great beers. Do they have any of their offerings in cans? I was at an upstate NY beer store last month, and could've sworn I saw their regular stout, the 5.6% stout, in cans. Can't remember if it was in a variety pack or a 12 pack. Has anyone seen any Sierra Nevada beers in cans, other than the two I've mentioned??
Here we get Shift in six pack cartons but the only other SN cans is in the 12 variety pack. Damfino why.
Yes and southern tier is also canning in cases and so is sarancac. The little cube of cans, el sully southern tier pilsner, and sarnacs cold brew are all repeats just for that. saranc needs more cases of the summer pils as I am out btw. Give me cases of lagers in cans please.
I'm a big fan of Nooner in the 12 pack can format. Great summer beach/camping beer, imo. Unfortunately, it's getting almost impossible to find Nooner in cans around here anymore. I also think SN should consider making Kellerweis available in the 12 pack can format. Personally, I would think Nooner and Kellerweis would dominate a lot of summer beer purchases if they made them available in 12 pack cans for around $16. Unfortunately, as $10 six pack bottles they seem to stagnate at a lot of local retailers. Maybe @sierranevadabill could give us some insight as to why SN widely distributes some beers in the 12 pack can format and not others, which, imo, would fit the format better.
Sounds about right. I thought they might can Summerfest, but now that I think about it, I don't recall seeing it. There was also some talk about possibly canning Hop Hunter in the future. As for the OP, I have never seen their stout in cans.
I just want more SN in NY in general - in the last year I've seen less and less in stores nearby. Asking the stores directly and even the distro rep for my area hasn't seen an improvement. There's been some issue between one of the grocery store chains and distro for awhile. Just means less SN around to purchase. I'd love to see more core beers like porter, stout and keller in any format. Summerfest should be in cans, it was 2 years ago. and of course the kolsch needs to be a year-rounder. They can own that style in the domestic market if they choose to. I will be in Japan in 2 weeks - looking forward to the SN beer bar on the beach in Kamakura.
We gotta go to PA for those (well, at this point, for ANY fresh Pikeland Pils or other Sly Fix cans...) but these cans are finally hitting NJ, 2 X 12's in a flat - only $30.99 , too. You may notice there's only 21 cans in the above borrowed Victory photo. But, then, that is what my case looked like only a hour and a half or so later...
My local Bottle King just got in some reasonably fresh (2 months +/-) Sly Fox, which I took advantage of last week; it was really fantastic revisiting that beer after such a long hiatus. Plus 2-week old Neshimany Creek County Line; I know what the majority of my purchases in the next few weeks will be .
