Bottle Logic Brewing Thread

Glasses have been sold out. I think they only had 60 or so on Saturday. So unless you bought it in the online sale, no glass for you until they restock.

 

We opened one on Saturday night. I'd say its pretty close, we really let it warm up out of the bottle which brought more of the vanilla out.

 

It was about the same for me.

 

I never got a taste of Last years batch of FO. What's the difference in taste between the two?

Same. Had it out of the bottle today versus on tap at BL yesterday.

 

So yesterday was my first trip to Bottle Logic.

I wanted to get a better look at that wall on the right with the "generator" on it. It has a bunch of high voltage electromechanical relays on it and circuit breaker controls etc.

It's kinda the business I'm in but there were too many fat neckbeards for me to fit my fat body in there to look at them.

Definitely want to go back and geek out on them when it's super slow.

 

I shared a bottle with a friend yesterday and it was phenomenal. I never had Batch 1 or FO on draft, but FOb2 was undeniably an incredible beer. Fudge brownies, great bourbon notes, and vanilla melded perfectly together to create a truly decadent treat.

I want to say that this is the best BA Stout with Vanilla that I've had, but it's unfair to say that without doing a side x side with the other bigger hitters. I don't recall having the same reaction / excitement after I tried VBDL or VR though.

Luckily, I was able to track down a FO b1 to compare the two next week.

 

So that was you....or at least I think based on what I saw on the interwebs. Sniped me from being able to take it and do the same. =P

 

Now that the release is over, I'm just looking forward to the next FO phase, where all us beer geeks get worked up over Neckbeardians secretly attaching GPS trackers to the BL delivery truck.

 

Nah, bruh. They probably have a man on the inside. Bottle Logic was looking to hire a new delivery driver after all.

 

It's going to be a scene from It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World. Cars chasing that one truck all over Orange County.

This year I'm sure they've learned to not telegraph it in advance since those venues got lines before the product.

 

Anyone who's been there lately know if they still have FO glassware?

 

Original amount sold out on Saturday. They were supposed to get a second batch but I can't remmeber the date. I think 7/12?

 

According to their IG post the other day, they said they had some on hand.

 

I prefer that larger sized snifter over the FO glass. Seems like a better fit for that beer.

 

Anybody know if FO is still on? Planning on going tonight or tomorrow.

 

They did have them as of last night when I went around 7. They said the shipment came in earlier than expected.

Nope. All gone. Tap list is looking pretty weak right now. I wasn't a big fan of the new version of Recursion either. 9.0. It sucks because I loved Recursion 8.0.
