Some of my favorites in no particular order:

Storm King, Green Flash double stout, and of course, Old Rasputin. Rogue Chocolate Stout is also pretty epic.

Some great stouts suggested on this thread. Don't mean to get off-topic, but as much as I enjoy great stouts, I personally don't think they offer the most complexity of all the beer styles. For me, the intense roastiness in many of them can overwhelm many subtle flavors. Is it just me, or does anyone else feel that Belgian quads offer more complex flavor profiles?

Black Tuesday, FBS, and The Abyss have been the most flavorful and my personal favorites. Parabola was right behind

Just had my first ever Founders BS, and I'd probably say that.

The first time I had Rogue Double Chocolate Stout was on tap and it blew my mind. Like alcoholic Nestle Quik wtih some coffee poured into it. Awesome.

I was really excited to get a Founder's Breakfast Stout a little while back, a friend of mine traded for it. I was incredibly let down though. It was good, but too strong on the coffee for me to think of it as anything but a coffee stout.

Yeah there is a lot of coffee in it, but I also got a lot of the chocolate bitterness in the finish. I do agree with you on the Rogue Double Chocolate; to me it was like eating a slice of german chocolate cake.

Yeah, don't get me wrong Founder Breakfast was great (I have the bottle on my "Bottles of Awesomeness" bookshelf in my man room), it just didn't live up to the hype for me personally. But I drink just about any decent looking stout I can find so mind-blowing stouts are getting harder and harder to find as my tastebuds adapt.

I find the chocolate in FBS to be the predominant flavor, I actually wish it was more coffee like.

Lost Abbey's Serpent Stout is one of the best stouts I have ever had. I don't usually buy beers that expensive multiple times when they come out each year (its $13 here) unless I'm going to cellar one but I bought it 4 times last year just to keep showing it to friends.

Bell's Expedition and Avery's Czar are amazing too. Definitely somewhere in my top 10.

I agree with several already mentioned & would like to add Terrapin Wake n Bake. Smooth delicious coffee oatmeal goodness.

Ten Fidy gets you a lot of flavors in a readily available Imperial Stout.

Not the most flavorful stout compared to others....but extremely tasty, quaffable is wolavers oatmeal stout. Its an all day beer. It can be found at some stores as low as $7.49 a 6pack too
