Typically one would not put the term juicy into a description of a barleywine,

No way Naughty Temple was only 7% when it came out of the barrels  especially if this beer is really 14% like untappd says

I would guess higher, too, but it's listed as that on this site.

4 pages and not one response from someone who has drank the beer describing the beer.

I'm as guilty as the next guy, I guess. I still haven't even picked my bottle up and I've been to TG at least twice since the drawing.

Everyone is complaining on Untappd about it being too boozy. As someone that wishes 90% of BA beers were more boozy, I'm straight jealous.

Agreed, it's hard for a ba beer to have too much barrel.

i dunno im getting the impression that it has an overwhelming wood presence. for $50 it should be balanced right out of the gate

I hope it stays off the boards. Or they consider on site only.

I'm there now and see nothing indicating its presence. No one buying bottles, etc. Not going to bother staff about it as there is a retirement party for one of the regulars going on right now.

Too much spirit flavor perhaps not, but if you think a beer can't have too much barrel then you haven't had some awful oak tannin messes that I have had :-D. The feeling that your sucking on wood when you are drinking a beer is unpleasant.

I imagine this beer is very woody given how long it was in the barrel

So who did you hear it from? Seems like a post just to cause a bunch of unnecessary ruckus.

Length in barrel doesn't necessarily have anything to do with how woody a beer is, right? You can have a lot more tannin and wood character from an extremely short rest on wood if the barrel is young, I thought.
