Adjusting for some of those larger format cans/btls, that should be more or less a case.

 

TBH, I don't session much these days, so I'll keep the ABV low...

i just got my ideal case of session beer!

24 16oz cans of Boat Beer canned 6/27/16; i bought them on 6/29/16.
best 4.2% beer i've ever had. thank god i only work 45 minutes from Carton, the case of O'Dub gives me a chub everytime i open my fridge.

 

I know I would be content with a case of Perrin Gold (and my basement would reveal that to be true). To mix it up a bit, though, I can sub out 12 of those for 9 bottles of Palm Reader and 3 bottles of Mosaic Promise.

 

Using under the 5% ABV level as being a session beer (I'd prefer under 4%, but we're not in the UK ) and assuming they all could be had in the same season:

I'd opt for 6 each of:

Yard's Brawler--English Dark Mild
Yard's Philadelphia Pale Ale--APA
Long Trail Havest--English Brown Ale
Troeg's Sunshine Pils--German Style Pils

nice selection Me too an esb, a brown ale, a german pilsner, a saison. No ipa's no session IPA's all the good styles from darker to pale and hoppier too, nothing seasonal.

To each their own, but the Moon Man is the only one I can personally even begin considering a session beer.

Even the breweries making their litany of session IPAs today are all making their beers fall between 4 and 5% ABV.

Fun concept though.

This is more like it. I also agree, wish they were all 4% ABV or less, but that's not realistic in the US market. Although there's FAR more offerings in that range today than years ago.
