Pretty exciting to get to try Founders Bolt Cutter. Wonder if the Troegs Splinter Black is the from the last batch which I found a bit lackluster. Have fun people that are going.

Went to the 1st PfP Rare Beer Tasting. Awesome event sandwiched between 2 sessions of GABF. By far the Rare Beer tasting was the highlight of my trip. Nothing against GABF but the accessibility to the brewers, the 1 offs and vintage beers and the swag that comes with it were great. Also, never had to wait in line for a beer. I would pay 100.00 no problem if I made the trip out this year, better lineup of beers compared to my home town event, SAVOR and the 120.00 ticket.

It's from Rick Lyke as part of Pints for Prostates. I'm on a bunch of random marketing lists because of my blog. Dunno how I got on them but sometimes they have useful info so I just ignore them when I don't care.

edit: Yep that link is the exact text from the email I got.

I agree in that the local breweries need to kick it up a notch...I've had and have Uncle Jacob's, Deconstruction, etc. But there are quite a few awesome brews here. Can't wait.

This. Some beers get me really excited and others are a huge let down.

I'm wondering if the Deconstruction is the original batch and not the one from this year. That one's a whole different animal.
