Agreed on Westover. Ten bucks over normal MSRP is ridic.

I would never pay that much but for some people paying an extra $10 for a limited release is more convenient than having to drive all over town, wait in line, take off work, trade for it, etc.

They take the gamble of knowing there are people that would pay $30, even $40 for it. They also markup all their beers a crazy amount. They are central to a lot of wealth and many of the people don't even look at the prices. They also run the risk of alienating people who do care about price and they aren't interested in being gauged and paying $10+/pint for a drink in a plastic cup.

anyone seen Bell's Poolside cans in DC yet? this stuff is ridiculous and I need it.

have two cases of non-infected BCBS at home, happy to toss you one or a few.

Thanks @beernuts. I didn't really know what expect from that brewer, but I picked up their raspberry stout......we will see how it stands up.

Thanks @Xenoreactive ! I picked up the raspberry stout, so we will see how that tastes. Doesn't really sound like a cellar worthy beer. I will be on the lookout for their Christmas releases this year.

@Jinxcraft Total Wine in Alexandria had Hardywoods Gingerbread Stout on for growler fills yesterday. Won't have to wait until November to get some as long as it hasn't kicked.

Slightly off-topic but when is TW Ballston opening? Will there be parking?

If there is parking, it'll be in some underground deck like all the retail around there. Ugh.

I think TW Chantilly still has the bourbon raspberry stout with vanilla. I cellared it for a year and it was fantastic.

There is an underground garage in the building. I believe the entrance is next to Cheestique.

Since they are over 1000 ft from the Metro they should have 1 spot for every 250 sq. ft. unless they got an easement. Drove past it the other day, doesn't look like too much going on inside. There will be a Whole Foods across the street in a couple of years as well.

I don't think the WF is a sure thing, just a possibility.
