Actually my first taste of Spock It was meh. But as I opened my last can a week ago I thought it opened up very well and tasted very good. Haven't bought the last 2 offerings from Monk. Maybe when they change their ways. I'll stick to HpB for now.

I was talking to Henry the other day and asked him to make Foggy Window all the time and all he did was chuckle at me. I'm taking that as a no.

So, uh, has anyone tried The Dude's brewing? Looks like they're opening a tasting room in Thousand Oaks...which is LA-ish, kind of.

Just skip the Thousand Oaks exit and continue on up the 101 to Oxnard and visit Casa Agria...

Don't do the Dudes. Had one or 2 of their cans way back when they came out. Didn't care for it. I see their cans of Bohemian Hopsody all over inside Total Wine just sittin' in room temp and collecting dust.

I lived in the Torrance area for some time and I still haven't bothered going to their taproom here

I don't do Dudes. not that there'd be anything wrong with doing so

I mean, I already go to Casa but I live within spitting distance of where The Dudes is going to open up.

Figure this was as good as a spot as any to hit up folks for information.

Heading to LA (Specifically Mar Vista near Venice and Santa Monica (with kids and family so cant go too far)... but curious about releases or places to score damn tasty bottles and cans.

Also bringing some things from NorCal.. so if anyone is up for a little trade action.. BM me

    Cheers,
    Adam

Beverage Warehouse and Whole Foods Venice for bottles and cans

Library Alehouse, Father's Office and Wurstkuche all serve good food and have good beer. Not sure if Father's Office in SM allows kids. Culver City location might

should check out Three Weavers Brewing

if you can break free at all, head down to Torrance. that's where you'll want to be. if you can make an excuse to go to Long Beach Beachwood is family friendly, great food, great beer

In case you aren't aware yet, and you actually have time for it, Beachwood BBQ is celebrating an anniversary that's worthy of your attention.

Yes ^ If you can make this one, do so. It will be a zoo but worth it if your in town. Maybe later in the afternoon or evening would be a good time. Kids are allowed but might not be a good time as it will be packed and loud inside. Outside seating might be the wiser choice with kids.
