    How was it?

I also saw Hubris is making a return on August 7. Draft and bottles!

It was definitely good. A different kind of DIPA than Hubris, but definitely good and I.'kl go back for another soon. I think he said they used simcoe, cascade, and something else in it.

The Galaxy dry-hopped saison is my favorite thing there right now though and Hop on Top has been really good lately too.

Heard it is Simcoe, Columbus & Cascade - not sure which one for the dry hop though.....

With what I've heard about Bond Brothers stuff recently, I may have to grab a crowler or two before vacation next week. Can anyone fill me in a bit more about how they do crowlers? Prefilled of some/most of what's on tap each day? Do they sell out fast or last through the day or beyond?

Also, I'm hitting Veil and Tired Hands releases July 12-13 and could be willing to trade. PM if you're interested. Cheers!

Was at Bond Bros yesterday actually. They do pre-fill them. Looked like they had crowlers of most of what was on tap, with the only exception I noticed being the session ipa Tempo (I assume they were running low on it, otherwise I don't see why they wouldn't have been offering that one too). I've only been there a handful of times so far, so I couldn't say how often they fill them or if/when they sell out normally. There were a good number available yesterday around noon when they opened, that's all I can really be sure of.

I didn't like the session one as much as a lot of people seem to, but it was still better than most. However, the latest batch of Local with topaz and amarillo is absolutely outstanding and I think you'd have a hard time finding a better standard ipa anywhere in the Triangle.

As @CavemanRamblin stated above, they do pre-fill. They're doing so a few days a week, so you shouldn't have any issues grabbing one before you head out. I believe everything is fair game (minus Tempo b/c I think it was their first run and a small batch). I suggest giving them a call or shooting them a Tweet before heading to the brewery. They're usually super helpful.

I second the fact that they are super helpful - my wife (who is not super into beer) stopped by to pick a couple things up and they recommended to her a couple of really new things I likely would not have tried (and had not) and might enjoy (I did).

I see Bond Brothers has been mentioned in here, can you bring outside food there? I've never been and may go this weekend.

I don't see why not. They have food trucks there a lot of times too.

Before four? I see on their site they have a section for food trucks but they're all later than I'd be there :slight_frown:

I was there around 12:30 or 1:00 last weekend and there was one there, but I have no idea about any kind of schedule or other times really.

You can bring your own food. A lot of open space with tables and chairs. Have fun. Great spot.

Yes that Local was freakin delicious. And I know this is a thread dedicated to IPA but man the coconut cinnamon variation of their imperial stout was phenomenal. Had a great first visit, will frequent often.
