Heading to Lakewood tomorrow. Any recommendations for breweries in that area? I saw a thread from a year ago. But, thought there might be some new ones. Thanks in advance! Cheers

I live there, and I would recommend going a little further and hitting Cannonball Creek.

West Fax is new, and supposed to be okay.

I wasn't impressed with Frontier or Caution.

Those two new breweries in South Lakewood can't open soon enough.

I live there, too! I'm in the northern part and Brewery Rickoli and Colorado Plus are semi-close. @tylerstravis we should probably get a beer sometime :sunglasses:

Bah, I'm late to the party, but thought I would chime in just in case "Lakewood" gets searched again.

Lakewood is a bit dry when it comes to actual breweries, but there are a couple good beer spots if you know where to look.

There is a World of Beer in Belmar at Wadsworth and Alameda. Caution: Brewing is just down Wadsworth about a half mile. I liked WestFax when I checked them out; they're next door to Casa Bonita so beware.

A n'er talked about gem is Tellers in the Applewood neighborhood. Great beer list and awesome food. Also, I found out on my 30th birthday this past June that, instead of doing a stupid piece of cake or some shit, if you can prove it's your birthday (show your i.d. to your server), they give you a $25 bar tab. Hell yeah.

Already mentioned, but deserves another shout, is Colorado Plus. Technically in Wheat Ridge, I think, but great food and something like 50 Colorado beers on tap.

Another one not technically in Lakewood (Sheridan) is Boggy Draw Brewery. They're off Hampden and Santa Fe; good beer with sort of a Deer Hunter vibe to the place.

Like I said, when it comes to breweries, we're a little slim, but I'm working on that

Also wanted to mention, if you keep going farther south, there's another brewery in the works called Off Leash in Littleton. It is off Kipling at Coal Mine, and I guess they're a brewery that will have an off leash dog area outside. I drive past it on my way to work and noticed there is a sizeable fenced-in area wrapping around the side of the building.

This is my neck of the woods and I had never heard of it. After quick search which led me to their facebook page, it seems that they are quite a ways away from opening. I've seen dozens of new breweries open over the past few years and I've found that until you have a date set in stone it's usually at least 6-12 months until opening.

http://www.landlockedales.com/ was supposed to open in June and I stopped by recently and while it looks awesome, it's far from open.

I always loved Caution when they were based out of A-town, but haven't made the trek to Lakewood. Anyone notice a difference? Do they still have a Street Fighter Hyper Edition machine?

We've hit some road blocks, as expected. Hoping for September at this point.
Check out our facebook page for more updates...web site needs work to put it mildly.

I met a guy almost 2 years ago at a brewery in the Aspen-Carbondale area. We struck up a conversation where he told me he was starting his own brewery. I asked him when he was opening up and he said he didn't know, but probably March of the next year (it was October when we met). I wished him good luck and told my wife later there is no way he'd be open by then, let alone a year from now.

Sure enough almost 2 years later when I google the brewery, the opening date is still TBD.

Just a lot more taps. Sure do have the street fighter. Plus golden tee and one other I can't think of oh and a pool table.
