Aslin Beer Co. Releases

Anybody know if there is a limited number of crowlers today or just the usual 64 ounce limit?

 

I'm at Aslin, two crowler limit on BSB w/ blueberry & vanilla, everything else is on premises only. Not crazy crowded at noon.

 

How is that blueberry?

 

It's good! I love the regular BSB and it's an interesting take on it. Not overly sweet as I was concerned it would be. Blueberry and vanilla flavors aren't overwhelming and add an interesting element. All that said, think I like the regular better.

 

I would agree 100%. Nice variant, but I prefer the original.

 

Never been to Aslin but Im going to be about about 10 mins away next Sunday and would love to try it.

Ive seen the last few weekends that there's been no take out on Sun. Is this typical these days? Ive love to get some beer to go, just wondering if thats even likely to be possible?

 

They generally don't allow take outs after the 1st day of a release so they have enough to provide in house pours. Of course you could always get lucky. Really depends on the release and how many people are around vs. out of town that weekend.

 

Thanks for an answer. They should def be more clear with that on site. Their FAQ section mentions growler fills and such. Never really heard of a brewery with a taproom not doing growlers. Sucks

 

Well, they were forced to be closed on a couple of Sundays because they ran out of beer. Allocating a certain amount of beer for crowlers and the rest for on-site consumption allows them to ensure they won't have to unexpectedly be closed on Sunday due to a lack of beer.

So starting off, we will be releasing our Berliner Weisse w/ Pear and Ginger and our Hoppy Saison on Thursday starting at 3pm. We will have 250 crawlers available of each and the limits will be 2pp per beer.

Never been to a release before but thinking of going down tomorrow. Are these usually nuts? What time you think you've gotta get there to make sure you get some crowlers?

 

I'd get there around 10/1015 if you're coming from out of town and don't want to risk being shut out.

 

Crowlers were gone on Saturday in under 15 min...each batch of a specific beer gets better and better each time it's released, love what these guys are doing.

Well, today is the brew day, but pretty sweet this is happening!

Hoping people will just pass over this release and concentrate on Saturday.

 

I hope not since that's when I'm going . I figured that today would be a complete shit show considering the two beers they have available for crowlers. The DDH Dunley Place sounds delicious.

 

Looks like 20-30 already. Though, some of those were children that parents dragged along.

 

No. No. No. Saturday sounds like the day to be there. I want to be able to stop on the way home today and be in and out in five minutes like the old days.
