Pretty sure only 2009 was in bombers and it's been only 12oz bottles since then.

If I can get a 4 pack or two without trading, I'll be happy. Nor Cal folk would never lower themselves to chasing trucks (or at least I'm hoping...)

Yeah 2 four packs & I'm content, but at least 2 bottles at a minimum. November 27th, the hunt begins! Though maybe it will be real easy though.

It might be. KBS went on tap at Toronado SD a few months back - stayed on tap for hours. People here don't seem to know about this stuff other than BA's. Everyone goes apeshit about PtY but dead for KBS?

Yeah Hopefully. I love founders, I'd be all over KBS, FBS, BB personally. Yeah PTY is it's own animal that's for sure, glad I was able to try a bit at the CoLAboration back in February, now I know what it tastes like.

I'm hoping I can just go into a whole foods or Total Wines & more & just grab a 4 pack with ease for a week or 2, maybe longer, but doubt it will be quite that easy.

I have to admit it, I'm not above it if I can snag a four pack or 2 without trading for it. :/

I'm still gonna be looking to trade for some (ok, a lot) - I have little to no faith in my BCBS-scrounging ability around these parts once it hits retail.

That would be nice but it's wishful thinking in our post-Cantillon world.

I'm going to laugh at people who buy it this go-around at terribly high prices when it becomes year-round.

Does anyone know who will be handling distro?

Year round? Consistent yearly seasonal maybe, but imho, year round would be a strech. The amount of barrels required to constantly be emptying old ones, filling new ones, storing, etc. Unless they lower the aging time, but then that would be a different beer, & BCBS in name only.

As for a price shock at first, I agree prices will likely vary greatly this release.

What makes you think if it became year round it would be cheaper? Even if it is more accessible doesn't mean it would be cheaper.

I laugh more at the people who have found it already and the crazy ISO threads they are starting. Especially when they distributed 10x more this year then previous years. Good luck on Blaeber ISO for a 4pack of shelf beer. (all be it an awesome one)

"The recent lease of a new barrel warehouse on AB's dime has allowed Goose Island to double the size of its barrel program and will soon lead to Bourbon County Stout being made available available year-round."

Interesting, but I'll still believe when I see it. The fact remains the time in the barrel required makes year round difficult. Doubling the size of the barrel warehouse will increase yield, but it's not the same as adding twice as many fermentors for a flagship pale ale imo.

However, if GI plan is to rotate production, so that they are releasing say 30K bottles a quarter, instead of 120K a year, (not real numbers) then that would be great. In any event, I'm just glad to hear some is hittting CA again.

i have similar uncertainty, & i'll be very interested in tasting the current release to see how it stacks up.

from a different perspective, given other factors with Heaven Hill, i'm wondering if any of that will play a role in upcoming BA releases that generally depend on HH barrels.

I would imagine Anheuser Busch will be handling distro since they are Goose Island's overlords. I already know Select Beer in Redondo Beach will probably not carry it because Wes doesn't like dealing with AB. I have a feeling Stearns will get some

Freddy's doing Limit 1 bottle @ $9.99. Get in line now people. Fuck buying 4 packs for $21.99 when you can land that deal.
