Wait a couple of days and then try another one. Maybe it needs a day or two after canning. But this nonsense is becoming more the norm. Wait in line for hours, pay a lot, and then think the beer is off. I drowned/steamed some crabs today with my last peach milkshake after they turned into snow globes. Bush league for sure that these beers are turning up bad with increased frequency.

Playing Devil's advocate, but there's no incentive for them to right the ship after turnouts like yesterday's line. It's fairly apparent to me that Jean doesn't care about quality as much as I had originally thought - the HopHands nonsense has gone on now for the better half of a year now, with increased issues with other beers. It's a shame, but it has to be hard to look back at what you used to produced when they're essentially printing money now.

I'll give credit where credits due (like 420 Terminator; among others), but also won't sugarcoat anything just for the sake of being a steward of the craft community. HopHands sucks compared to what it was about a year ago, which was world-class. Used to get a growler of that stuff every other week basically, and haven't since March.

Sometimes I think the steady stream of complaints about price, lines, chairs or whatever the complaint of the week is is starting to taint people's taste buds.

Does anyone know if they still have the gatherer t-shirts available?

Hop hands is a shell of the beer it was last year. Alien Church has been hit or miss and not what it was in the past. $24/4pk is a joke. I haven't gone in awhile but the lines don't seem to bad. They are long but they do a pretty good job of moving people through. Seems that quality has fallen off and prices have gone up.

Tried an AC last night thought it was delicious. Anyone unhappy with their purchase can send them my way!

edit: anyone over at the Ferm for the bottle release today? Might try to swing by later this afternoon. Be interested to know how long of a line this bottle is creating...

Well now there are only 430 bottles on sale, still at 2 per person. Inventory miscount from the originally stated 800.

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha hahahahahahahah give zero f*cks about the customer.

Not sure where your math is but most people will likely be getting a full allotment of this one. Probably more like 450-500 people max.

Jean must be too busy counting the weekly can revenue to give accurate bottle counts.

Could the total have been lowered by believers taking their allotment from the 800?

Its possible that the person who counted and posted on instagram didn't take that into consideration, which could explain how they possibly could have been so off, but still. Only informed us an hour before release.

Yeah that is pretty shitty. Hopefully people that show are able to get their bottles.

I just stopped by and got a bottle and there were still a few cases left. No line at all either so the lower inventory didn't cause any problems for people that lined up.

Anyone try the bottles yet? Curious to know how they turned out. Unfortunately I blew my beer budget on the can release this week but gatherer is awesome.

Just tried this batch of Alien Church. Taste as good as ever to me! One of my favorite beers.

A very wise and knowledgeable beer drinker gave me two cans of ALien Church from a prior release with the instructions that these beers are 'better' with 1-2 weeks of time in the can. I followed these instructions and did not open the first can until it was 2 weeks old. Maybe you will enjoy this batch if you let it age a little bit?

    Cheers!

What? 430 bottles, 2 per person, 215 max allotments. What are you on about?

And if you thought I worked for TH, yeah, no. Also, boo on your math.
