Just picked up a pair of tickets for Wednesday @11, excited to see the new system in action and drown in raspberries.

@Domingo @hitter114 is this the place that either of you were talking about?

I'm not 100% sure. Doesn't look like most of the pizza places in GS have websites. If it's any clue, they had a pizza with pulled pork and jalapenos which doesn't seem like a common combination. They made 3-4 deliveries that day so they can't be located too far away.

So if you've got a ticket or two to tomorrow (Sat 7/9 @ 11 or 2) that you realized you can't use I'd be happy to take it off your hands.

I am fairly certain they are non-transferable, at least, that is what I believe Troy said. BPT requires a name to be put on each ticket purchased.

This is correct. This is their way of preventing people from scalping tickets.

While I'm sure you're probably right, if both parties let Troy know about the situation, i'd be surprised if he'd take issue with it. After all this wasn't about making money, rather about managing crowds.

Just got back to our hotel from the 2 PM tour and I must say, the new system is fantastic. Worth every penny for the ticket. Before, you paid the same amount for a ticket with zero sample pours and dealing with large ticket crowds as well as those that simply showed up without tickets and drank the offerings.

This new way is much better. 20 people max, John was a great tour guide and mixed the samples in with the tour thus we weren't waiting till the end for our pours. This leads me to my next point, great sample pours. 3 half glass pours if I recall correctly would be right around 15 bucks during the old ticket realeases so those pours alone almost pay for the entire ticket. Roughly an hour for on site drinking and the ability to get bottles to take home were a great way to end the 2 hour tour.

The only slight downfall is the reduction of to-go bottles per ticket but if this is Casey's way of making their place more accessible I'm all for it!

Definitely will be doing this again and soon!

What did you get for the pours? We got and Elephant Heart Plum Fruit stand instead of the blackberry CFP. Really interesting brew. Also got to buy the Raspberry FS and that was just simply incredible. Really loved the selection of on site pours. Got a Cab Franc CFP from the cellar. Was simply incredible. Don't know how long that'll be on the menu.

This isn't correct. You can change the name on the tickets.

Our pours were Oak Theory, Elephant Heart and Biere De Garde. For on-sight drinking we had a bottle of Balaton Cherry Cut and Brett Loves Citra. Between my fiancee and I, we took home 2 bottles of the Blackberry CFP, 2 bottles of the Raspberry CFP and 2 bottles of the Oak Theory. I wanted to buy more of that Oak Theory but the fiancee said no dice. Maybe next time!

Back when the ticket system was enacted you were allowed to change the name on the second ticket up until the event sold out. At that point the list of ticket holders was printed out and if you weren't on that list on gameday then too bad.

I haven't heard any word that this policy has changed so I wouldn't recommended testing the waters without at least asking first.

I asked him about ticket transfer when he went to this new system and he said you could transfer them. He would change it if he saw a problem where too many people were not using the tickets or people were buying and selling them

That's putting a lot of faith into people, hopefully this will be the exception to the rule of people ruining a good thing. It'll be interesting to see how this plays out now that people know this option is available. I'd imagine there will be instances of profiteering at some point since he hasn't publicly denounced it. Just seems odd to leave the window open for something that's easily avoidable, but hey whatever. I just don't want the day to come again where I have to hit F5 all day in order to get weekend tickets.

In any event, I'm going up on the 23rd for my first tasting since the new change. Anyone in here going to be there that day?

Also, how come we're not talking about the return of Balaton Cut to go?? Is it still a secret how incredible the first batch was? Sure, B2 was busted, but B3 is carbed yo!

Haha I really enjoyed B2, am I weird? Will people look at me funny?

Haha. Nothing weird about that, but in a Ballerton vs Buellertron showdown, Ballerton is winning every single round.

B2 was still a good beer but it's amazing how carbonation really does effect the perception of a beer. Apricot Cut was another victim of the zero carb woes, however @DenverBeerDrinker got a pour at the EF party from a bottle that miraculously had perfect carbonation and it was absolutely incredible! Somehow the acidity seemed toned down and the apricot was huge in the nose and taste - the complete opposite of the bottles I've tasted.

Argh. I was really hoping the Raspberry CFP would have sold out before Saturday so I wouldn't feel so bad about missing the tasting. I had a 2pm ticket but couldn't ride my bike fast enough to make the cutoff time. Damn headwinds. That meal at the Pullman was worth it though.

I'll be visiting from Illinois and was wondering what size are the bottles for sale after the tour? Do they vary? I will be driving a convertible with very limited trunk space and want to plan ahead as best as possible. Thanks!
I was drinking Ska pinstripe ale in Durango in their first year, and bringing it back home (when there was no good beer in Chicago), but haven't been to Colorado in about a decade; can't wait!

I'm pretty sure they're mostly 750's, with maybe the rare magnum out there.

Everything is 750ml: tasting flight poured from 750s, on-site available in 750s, and to-go bottles are all 750s. Magnums do exist but you won't see them there, and there are a few draft accounts as well.
