That's fine...although on the off-chance the chips happen to fall my way, I'd gladly try the French Toast. I wasn't able to make it over to the release. Thanks for the chance though!

It definitely sucks, but as someone with a couple young kids and hopefully more on the way, the threat of Zika (real or perceived) has to be taken into account. Also, I'm sure the powers that be will make sure it goes off without a hitch, but I can say I wouldn't want to be going down to Rio right now, which is too bad, because it seems like it was (and probably still is) a cool place to visit.

On top of all that, I think the Tour could've done more to be more accommodating. Everyone always says majors are all that matter for these guys, but they mashed 3 into 6 or 8 weeks? Doesn't make a lot of sense. I would've preferred to see the Open at the end of July as usual, and push the PGA to early September/post-Olympics. It's not like this came out of nowhere, and the schedule couldn't have been massaged/sponsors assuaged for one year.

Posting this US Open comment on this thread versus the US Open thread. @Dave_Treat won the high round US Open LIF, when I return to Florida this weekend I will ship out your Cycle Tuesday '16. Dave's scrub selection was Stachler who shot an 84 in round 2, which was indeed the high score for rounds 2,3 & 4. Cheers!

Ante for the 3rd leg of the majors - Not your Father's Rootbeer 10% version, Stickee Monkee '16 (if Stickee already ante'd up let me know) & FL or Cali locals. If these are not up to acceptable I can sub out. Cheers!

Open LIF - bad, very bad......need the golfer with the highest total score following the completion of Rounds 1 & 2.

So here's the tv schedule for anyone interested. Unfortunately I'll probably miss most of Sat due to work and will probably tape Thurs and Fri to watch in the afternoon. Sunday is a dilemma, do I come home, start drinking and watch it live or do I tape it, stay off BA and the interwebs and watch it that afternoon? What's everyone else plan on doing for Sunday?

    Times are Eastern

I took this as we're guessing high rounds for Thursday and Friday, but @BigBarleywine, correct me if I'm wrong.

Well, then I'll take this poor slob............Oskar Arvidsson! He's bound to step on his dick.

Shrugged off his world ranking of 1,418th to win the 36-hole Final Qualifying competition at Gailes Links by four strokes with a 10 under par total.

Arvidsson started the day with a 25-foot eagle putt and went on to record rounds of 64 and 68. It has been his dream to play in the Championship since childhood when he regularly watched a video of Mark Calcavecchia winning the 1989 Open at Royal Troon - and it will be there, of course, that he now makes his debut.

His only European Tour appearance came as a 20-year-old amateur at the Nordea Masters in is home country and he failed to break 80 in either round. He turned professional two years ago and has failed to come through the Tour qualifying school each year since.

He has been plying his trade on the Asian Development Tour with a best finish of third in last season's PGM Port Dickson Championship in Malaysia.

Here we go, my pick for high round: Marco Dawson....
    Playing partner disqualifications
In 2003, Dawson became involved in two separate incidents involving rules breaches. At the Chrysler Classic of Tucson in March, he was playing with Brandel Chamblee when Chamblee took an incorrect drop. Dawson was criticized for only notifying rules officials shortly after he had signed Chamblee's card, meaning disqualification rather than a two-stroke penalty.[2] In a similar incident in October, Dawson was playing with Esteban Toledo when he called Toledo on an incorrect drop, resulting in Toledo's disqualification. The latter incident resulted in a feud in which Toledo sacked the agent both players shared, and Dawson was eventually fined $10,000 for not informing officials of an infringement promptly.[3]
