Had another BCBS and it was wonderful. Not bothering with date/time stamps as that seems inconsistent. All my Barlywines were horrible, but so far so good on I think 4 or 5 regular. Haven't tried my Prop yet...fingers crossed on that one.

Don't breweries complain about not having open containers in line so they don't get fined? Let's just organize a massive infected BCBS bottle share outside of the Fulton and Wood tap room...GI Clybourn sold some 2015 Prop recently for on site consumption and all bottles were soured. I'd really like a decision from GI as to what to do with this stuff. I don't want to drink it if it is bad and would prefer recourse if offered, if we can drink it and still get a refund I'd rather do it now that 6 months when it has turned more, and quite frankly, a refund doesn't go to the full length of compensation for hunting these variants. I'd much rather have a 1-1 exchange for 2016 variants or a refund with some sort of priority for Rare Day tickets (king henry 2.0 release or whatever party is this year) or a refund with a guaranteed voucher for right to purchase 2016 BCBS variants. Come on GI, you made right with Coffee and Barleywine, let's settle this other stuff now.

Fair enough, my mistake. Hopefully my experience was of the minority for that particular day.

Yeah, when I was drinking through mine a couple of months ago and feeling pissed off having to do so, I realized I would have been more pissed off had any been infected. I was lucky that I got to drink some good beers, though sooner than planned.

Yeah it's like sex sooner than you planned to have it. Hard to think of some way that's a bad thing.

So I've been following this thread rather intently but hadn't posted until now. Tonight I finally - with great trepidation - cracked one of my four bottles of BCBS. I lucked out with the one bottle of barley wine I bought because I drank it about a week after buying it and it was lovely. But my BCBS I had been sitting on, and then this thread popped up so I threw mine in the fridge about 2 months ago, and they've been there ever since.

Anyway, cracked the first one up tonight and it smelled good with the pour .... took a first few sips and it tasted fine, pretty good actually. Beer's pretty warmed out now and I'm not getting any off flavors. Lot boozier than I remember from having it on draft though ...

I've got one other one from this batch and then 2 bottles from another batch. Planning on opening one of the other batch bottles next weekend when I'm on vacation.

Drank a November 10th bottle yesterday with some friends, all good so far. I think most of my bottles are from that bottling date so I hope I'm in the clear....

I'm not buying BCBS ever again. Goose Island, if they really wanted to make it up, could say, hold on to your bottles, and allow you to trade them in for new bottles with the next release. ABinbev can afford the financial hit to make things right... not some BS 2 month window for refunds. They hope we give them another chance when their variants cost $20+? I'm not giving them another chance.

Working through my last case of regular BCBS. Every bottle I open continues to be down right amazing. Lots of vanilla and booze coming through. Oct bottling date, 14.3% ABV version.

Anyone have 09Nov15? I've seen lots of people post positive reviews of this bottle date.

I'd be surprised if someone who cares hasn't perused this thread and ranked the dates based on reports. Otherwise that's up to you - mine are gone so I am only here for the show.

This is what I am hoping for. The exchange, however, would be a 4 tier execution; BC, Dist, Retailer, Consumer. Distribution, collection, storage, and disposal would be a logistical cluster. Imagine the potential handling of returns, for example. It won't be easy, and it won't be cheap, but, GI, git 'er done.

I don't see them doing anything more for individuals. All we'll see now is improvements to the process (pasteurization) and promotions to try to repair some of the reputation damage.
