Yes, rumor has it that White Oak spirals got too expensive so they're using Florida Pine barrels now...

That would explain a lot....now someone needs to explain why regular Jai Alai has turned into a "malt bomb" the last 6 months

Grabbed 2 cans from cartel. They only got one case in so can't blame them at 2 per. The can date is 6/20. Just wondering why it took so long to get down here and why no one else has it

Damn shame...isn't calling it White Oak Jail Alai now false advertising and misleading the consumer?

The cans I've had recently of Jai Alai and White Oak Jai Alai have all been solid. Had both on draft recently and a few cans of each. No complaints.

So was I, FFS people. FL pine is the worst wood ever. Shit doesn't even burn well, let alone make barrels.

I think the latest batch of WOJA was brewed at Ccb and not the brewhub. Also jai alai, has started to taste like it used to. It was a malt bomb for a while but the latest batches have been great. I actually had a few recently per the comments on here from some of the BAs. I heard they are dry hopping it more these days. I'll keep trying it over the next few months to see if it's consistent. Because that was a problem in the past.

There's plenty of white oak on the shelf at captains liquors in port charlotte. Canned 5/23

5/23 is rough! Just cracked a 6/20 can. Man sure is tasty. Tastier than my cans from March/April. Don't know what's different but definitely somethjng

No more Guayabera or White Oak in the cooler at CCB. Not sure about Cubano.

There was Cubano still there tonight and the new knee deep collab continental drift was in the coolers as well, but not yet on tap.

It's a non fruited $25 sour ale. Couple that with the recent barrage of stouts and there ya go. I did really like the first iteration of Whalez though.

If this was a stout release there would be a lot more interest

Could also be they made a ton of it. Will say the line was pretty short though this morning.
