World of Beer in Arlington had 3 variants of Gingerbread Stout (regular, Bourbon and Christmas Morning) on tap as of yesterday.

Hardywood is releasing Ruse on or about Aug 27th, 2016, correct?

    Aslin question:

So I trekked down there a few months ago on a Sunday afternoon and they were out of crowlers. Only got to taste on site (Orange Starfish and Deceiver reg.). I live an hour away so if I travel down on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon what are their general crowler situations/policies? Low risk trip of not being disappointed? I don't mind waiting 1/2 hr or less in a line, but beyond that it gets a little stupid IMO.

Drove down there from Baltimore this Saturday.

They posted Saturday morning on Facebook that they had loads of crowlers but it was only for the release that day, the vanilla/blueberry BSB. I was worried that they'd be out or there'd be a line but it was a very painless task.

Got there around 3pm, no line, walked right up to the bar, got 2 crowlers and a couple samples and I was on my way. Was my first trip there so can't speak to previous weekends.

Keep an eye on their Facebook page for when they release new beers. They usually release on one of the weekdays and Saturdays. Go on release day at open. You might be able to get there later but you are taking a chance on crowlers selling out. I have never waited more then a 1/2 hour but I haven't been on a Saturday in about a month. I have heard there have been people lining up before open recently. It will probably be 2 crowler limit per beer until they run out of what they have alloted for crowlers.

Releases are Thursday or Saturday so if Sat/Sun are your only choice, Saturday is definitely the better option and the earlier you can get there the better. Can't really comment on the wait time other than it seems to be better now that they pre-fill. If getting shut out or having to wait will ruin the trip, I'd honestly say just get beer elsewhere.

Thanks for the input on Aslin (multiple guys). Is it a 2 crowler limit of the same beer or can you buy more than 2 crowlers if its different beers?

Usually limit is per beer not total.

definitely only mosaic hops still. Brau's beer has changed a LOT since they added the centrifuge to their process

I noticed BB XXVIII has a "bottled on" date instead of "best after." I wonder if they're not recommending aging this.

Anyone seen those Stone Wussie Pilsner cans anywhere? Just wondering if they are in the area or not. Also, I still haven't seen those Arrogant Bastard cans anywhere in central MD yet. Any sightings elsewhere in the area?

I checked a bunch of zip codes in northern Virginia and Richmond on their Wussie product finder and nothing showed up

Everywhere in Northern VA, probably not much help for you though. Still haven't seen the IPA or Go-To cans though.

I have seen fresh 6x16oz AB on a "endcap" at harris Teeter in NoVA, $12.99

I know some HT are more craft y than others, but it might be worth checking if there's one nearby. Reyes/Premium dist have a tight relationship with Harris Teeter it seems.

Have Troegs Nimble Giant bottles or Bell's Quinannan Falls cans hit DC proper yet? If anyone sees either, can you give me a shout? Thanks!
