Does anyone know how the Morning Cloak and New Growth cans went in terms of batches and dates? Were there just a handful of initial canning runs for both or did they continue to come out for a while? I'd like to grab some Mandala Citra cans to take back to New England in a few weeks, but wasn't sure if there were going to be any more runs or fresher cans than the 6/23 ones I found.

All three are done for the year. Another Mandala run will happen in ~3 months. We start brewing OPA for fall cans soon. Morning Cloak was Spring seasonal, New Growth was Summer. Mandalas will only be 1200 cases into distro every 3 months, in the middle of the seasonal rotation. Hope that helps. Grab Citra because that varietal of Mandala won't be back till next year, in a can at least.

Nice work on the Mandala Citra cans @beace ! Enjoyed a whole sixer over the holiday weekend, looking forward to trying your other hop variants in the coming months.

I haven't had the chance yet, but I am definitely looking for Mandala Citra cans this week. Hoping some are still floating around Cincy.

Haven't heard much feedback on the latest BA bottles. What does everyone think of Full Allotment and Noble Sorrel? I haven't tried Noble Sorrel yet but I really enjoyed Full Allotment.

Both great efforts by JO's and seem to be getting love on beer rating sites. I like the barrel to come through, if it is being advertised as a BA beer. It came through nicely on both of these. Not so strong as to overpower the underlying base beer though. I will buy more to cellar and enjoy.

Had both yesterday, sorrel definitely had a stronger bourbon flavor, but I preferred allotment. Both great. Side by side, they had similar bourbon flavor. Does jackie o's use the same barrels for their bourbon beers? For most of their bourbon beers, you taste it, and the initial reaction is, "yep, that tasted like a jackie o bourbon beer".

I know years ago when they started doing BA beers they used Woodford Reserve. Not sure about today. I'm guessing by taste its still Woodford Reserve. I could be wrong though and have been in the past.

They do and I believe they only use Woodford barrels, my buddy was sitting with a brewer lately and he confirmed this.

Full Allotment is a mix of quite a few bourbon barrels and one rum barrel (I think). At least that's what Brad said at the Burgers & Beers event they had at the Party Source.

that would make sense as that is what it's advertised and its a collab for that matter.

Disregard. Just saw BB Oil is now 7/19 -- crap balls. @beace , I'm assuming you won't tap it until Tuesday, correct?

Woodford or Weller? I remember trying some 2015 BB Dark App and BB Oil that were in Weller barrels.

Ray, I feel like camping around raccoons could be dangerous.

I was drunk when I tasted this beer but one of the guys that works there who is friends with my cousin said it was aged on plums and 2 other fruits but I can't remember exactly. Tasted like evelyn with different fruits.

And I don't think camping out will be necessary, obviously Jackie O's does an amazing job on releases that spread their beers to a wider distribution of people.

Top beer for me last night was pina colada berliner and chocolate and vanilla cool beans! Had a blast, this brewery is amazing.
