Can you bring your own growlers or do you have to use theirs?

I actually like South of Eleven the best out of all 5.

Not to be an ass...but if you thought it would last longer than a minute or two you're nuts. You should always be on a few minutes before noon ready to refresh as soon as the clock strikes for bigger releases like this. I guarantee Dragonsaddle will be the same the next time it's released. There will always be something to complain about. Personally, I would MUCH rather get shut out online from the comfort of whatever computer / phone I'm using than to drive 3.5 hours round trip and get shut out in person. The risk of not getting tickets online is well worth the security in knowing you are guaranteed cans before you leave your home on release day should you get a ticket. As also mentioned, tickets expire out of others shopping carts and a bunch always drop 10 and 20 minutes after the hour so if you stick with it you should be good.

I am actually looking forward to the tap list even with it being all DIPAS. It will be nice to try a couple new beers like Jacuzzerooski and Idaho 7 on tap alongside my two personal favorites (SOE & KD).

Thanks man, that is all I wanted to know. I would figure that if they brew it and have some in kegs, it would make its way to the brewpub. How else would someone be able to get that beer if they can't make it to the brewery on a sunday. Need the common people to try it on a friday night out.

When was the last time Dragonsaddle was released? At this point I'm wondering if they are even planning on bringing it back, considering they have pretty much doubled capacity but we haven't seen it at the brewpub, where we have seen some of their rarer brews pop up from time to time on draft.

It's fun that we have something in Ohio that can be hyped to stratospheric levels, but making it almost impossible for locals to get a brew due to this kind of scarcity kind of sucks. Again I'm hoping it's just some kind of ingredient shortage, but I'm not sure that's the case. At least Konkey has sporadically been on draft at the brewpub this year--haven't seen hide nor hair of Dragonsaddle.

Nov 15 I believe. That is the beer I am waiting on. It was the straw that broke the camels back and initiated operation brownpapertickets. I can remember casually waiting in line for about 20 min for Konkey a month or 2 before that.

I think it was at around 350 before it instantly dropped to 160 then down to 0 the second after that. It was fun watching it for a passing moment, before getting back to work.

I thought the tickets started in Jan after an unseasonably warm (60 deg) Roller Blabe release.

Would love to see Dragonsaddle soon, as it's just about the only HH brew I'm missing on my checklist.

I'm guessing they know KD will become a cash cow and are trying to make artificial scarcity. It's shitty, but a good way to build a business from tiny to big. I can't see of any other reason why they wouldn't have brewed it for canning (kegs were at the brewpub in March).

Yeah blabe was the last non ticketed canning that took place and that was a shit show (way worse than dragonsaddle).

I thought it was the one Roller Blabe release that had people parking on the side of the road for a half mile that got them to do the ticketed system not Dragonsaddle. Dragonsaddle was freaking crazy though!

Dragonsaddle sounds wonderful and can't wait to grab some. Does anyone know the reasoning behind Konkey waiting so long to be canned? I am guessing it is due to hops, probably a galaxy or other australian or new zealand hops, but just curious. It would be great if they could get on a roll of potentially releasing Konkey/Roller Blabe every other month. That way each month there is one of the more popular beers coming out so they can guarantee a nice payday. Either way, jealous of all of you going to Konkey. I will be laboring on a 8 hours test on Monday morning with my medical career hanging in the balance.

I know in the interview with the Hoof guys they clearly stated they won't brew what's popular, but brew what they want to brew. So even though Konkey is crazy popular, they won't brew it all the time just for that reason.

Cash cow? Compared to what? Almost all their beers sell out anyway, so what's the difference how quickly it sells out? As long as it gets sold.

You're right. I stopped on my way back from Cbus and got shut out for the first time. @invertalon sold me a couple of cans to save the day.

The demand isn't there for non-flagship brews (see Bulgin' Musk, Jacuzzerooski, etc. not selling out ticket allotments). Keeping the Konkey supply artificially low inflates the demand for the brewery as a whole. If Konkey/Blabe were brewed monthly, I might not be inclined to make it to the "experimental" beer releases and spend as much money as I do.

Ok maybe not every month or so, but atleast do it a little bit more frequent. If they want to make other beers and do what they want, they have that right. I know they have hype around them already, but a guy can wish of getting Konkey, Roller, and South of Eleven more regularly, right?

In other news, have they talked about expansion at all? Just curious if that is something they might be looking into.
