We increased fermentation capacity by 70% and added some brewhouse upgrades. Brewing a lot more.

I didn't get an exact count before I left today but we're looking to be just under 400 cases for tomorrow, 270 Dangol and about 120 Substance. 3 4pks per person per brand. We are expecting a busy day but we have 4 POS with a crack team who thrive off fast service. Hope to see ya.

Will be in Portland in 2 hours and wondering if the place is packed right now?

Drove by Thompsons Point at 11 this AM... Could see the line waiting from 295. Very impressive.

For those that have been to Thompson's Point on a weekday, how are the lines for cans throughout the day?

Sat and other days wait times/lines? How is the new place doing? Heading up there later in July. I see they allow 3- 4 packs per person, per style.

I was there last Wednesday. We got there about 11:30 for the noon opening and were maybe 30 people ahead in line at that time. They opened on time and had 3 checkouts going and we were out with our allotments of cans by 12:15. It was Substance and Diavoletto that day 3 4-packs of each per person. The new place is a real step up from the industrial park.

I was also there last Wednesday at about the same time. The line was probably about 80 deep by the time they opened. My guess is that Wednesdays are not usually that crowded and that it was largely due to Phish playing in Portland that day.

I rolled in today around 12:15 and was probably around #75 in line. Was in the door around 12:30 and had the full allotment of cans by 12:45. It was a lot easier to walk in after that up until about 1:15, but they sold out of Substance at that point.

The new space is far superior to the old space with lots of room to hang out including upstairs seating. They had six beers on draft today as well for 5 or 10 oz. pours.

So I'm assuming I should get there right at 12 on the Wednesday and Thursday (first week of August) I'll be there?
Any PMs are appreciated with tips about Portland. I'll also be stopping at trillium on my way up so I can trade if anyone's interested but I'd greatly appreciate any PMs regarding minor details of Portland beer.

I'm going to be in Portland, Maine for the first time Monday-Wednesday morning. Just saw Bissellbrothers is closed both Monday and Tuesday. Anywhere I can get my hands on some while I'm there? I am on a family trip, so my forays have to be limited.

Also, any other "must drink" locations?

You may get lucky if they make a drop at bier cellar. They'll send out an email Monday night if they are getting any to their email list. Other than that try setting up some in person trades on the trade forum?

Substance is often on tap at restaurants in town. I've definitely had it at Pai Men Miyake (awesome ramen) and Duckfat (duckfat fries, sandwiches, charcuterie).

Second the comment about Bier Cellar - this week, the received a drop of Baby G on Tuesday, a day before the brewery release. You can also follow Bier Cellar on IG as well. With their lager production, Substance on tap has been showing up at multiple restaurants around town (e.g., Flatbread Pizza, Empire, etc.)

Looks like based on the previous few weeks if you were there by about 1 pm you'd be fine, but who knows. They are releasing Diavoletto and Lux those days, which are not super popular beers, but they also release less cases of substance wed-thurs than they do on the weekend.

There are plenty of other threads about Portland to search for ideas, places, etc...

Is there ever a chance of getting cans on a Sunday? Flying in late Saturday night from San Diego and was hoping I might be able to snag some cans.

Might be possible to get some left over Lux, but its very likely they will sell out since its the weekend. I went to Bissell Brothers yesterday and the line was 1.5 hours long. Heard they sold out of Substance first and then Nothing Gold at 3:15pm after opening at noon.

The tap room is great, so worth visiting to have their beers on draft.

I was there this past Thursday, bought my Subby's at 4:30 or so. no line, but patio was full and another dozen folks inside. There was less than 10 cases left at that point. Great spot that is still filling in with other businesses. Can't wait to bring the kids up to visit the Cryptozoology Museum next door! We'd gone to the museum when it was in downtown Portland a few years back, had no idea it was next door. very cool portland-ey thing.
