I live right by Stuft Pizza, so I'll be hitting up some or most of theirs. If you haven't checked them out I recommend it. Good selection, some good bottles and they're expanding to add a taproom next door with 50 more taps. They serve everything in a pint glass, but nobody is perfect. I might hit up some of the OG ones as well. Alpine @ AW looks interesting.
i went to an SF beer week at Armadillo Willys in Los Altos and everything tasted like dirty tap lines...do you go there often? thats an event i would be interested in but given my experience last time i have not been back.
I want to attend the San Mateo County beer fest in Redwood City because it is a few blocks from where I live but my wife is 8 months pregnant and I don't want to pay $50 for her to not drink beer If they have a reduced price for DDs (or other non-drinkers) we will probably attend.
I haven't gone to the one in Los Altos in a long time (more than ten years). We just go to the Sunnyvale and sometimes Cupertino Willy's. Haven't had any problems with dirty tap lines, but I don't aways get beer.
Its not the getting there part that I am thinking about - it is the fact that my wife, who would be attending with me, is pregnant and will therefore not be drinking. Given this, paying $50 for her seems like a waste of money...I only referenced a "DD price" because a lot of beer events have that and i have never seen "pregnant woman price"
I went to the brewery 4th of July weekend, awesome spot and very good beers! if you haven't been i would highly recommend it!
Why bring along your pregnant wife to a beer festival to start with? Also, checked that list and if you don't make it you won't be missing much. Just go over to Ale Arsenal and drink their taplist instead.
Because leaving her at home by herself while i go out and drink beer would probably be worse? maybe the right answer is not attending...
You have to schedule (or have her schedule) other events so she doesn't feel like she's missing out...
