Had another Galaxy Head High. Such a good beer. Think I prefer it to the original

Had some HopLab: Eureka the other night at Blue Monkey in Merchentville. Absolutely phenomenal stuff; loved the color/malt base. Reminded me a bit of Heady. These guys never disappoint, do they?

Had some of the Galaxy Head High yesterday...just a lovelier and hazier version of Head High. Honestly, I think you could dry hop Head High with anything and in any amount and it would make it just a bit lovelier. Such a great base IPA.

Your best bet is to try the beermenus website for the surrounding area. Most likely liquor stores with growler stations.

You can get growlers of both at Kelly's in Belleville which is not far from the stadium.

It's worth a stop. They had cans of Magnify Vine Shine when I was there the other day. Another store close by that you can check out is Mason's Cellar, also in Rutherford. Neither carry Kane or Carton though. As mentioned earlier, Kelly's would be the best bet for growlers.

Oof a month later of fresh local hops and they can't sell out? Hope Magnify is on top of this the way Carton is. Can't sell out by the next delivery, you get less.

Garden State Ale House in Rutherford has a pretty good tap list most of the time, with Kane and Carton on there most of the time.

I believe so. I think that is the name they are changing it to but I'm just going on rumors I've heard.

I know they were waiting on parts to get the canning line up and running, but just curious as why cans don't come more often. Yes, we have seen Head High a few times, but would love to see Overhead, hop labs, etc on a weekly basis. I'm thinking that it is because of volume and not alienating their keg sales to retailers. But with the way I've seen other breweries (Tired Hands, Trillium, even Magnify) pump out cans, just gets me wishing Kane had a more consistent rotation.

They seem to have the Head High cans down pat. Whereby, they do not sell out day of, but they also don’t sit around for weeks. Hence, if a certain individual wants it then they can get it, and they can get it FRESH, which is not always the case elsewhere. Granted, and I suppose, they could can more often, and offer more variety. However, the quantity would probably suffer (i.e. some would miss out on the cans), but hype status would certainly increase. Personally, I think the Kane crew hates lines, wants to put smiles on everyone’s faces, and is therefore trying their best to get a “feel for the crowds” with head high. So, there is not a bunch of early birds hanging around every weekend (e.g. Sunday Brunch) in anticipation of a limited can release. Although, the first few batches of a new canning run may be smaller to ensure quality control before pumping out bigger batches.

In any case, I don’t know why they don’t can more often, and it may very well be such factors such “waiting on parts, keg sales to retailers,” etc. Kane just seems like the type to take everything methodological: brewing, production, distribution

…All I know is that @NJNYC732 might have just awoken the early line tenders

Kane has been slow and steady from the start. They're not going to rush out 100 cases of a stickered blank can for $20/4 pack. That's not their goal and I appreciate that more than anything about them.
