Carton Brewing (July 2016)

That's pretty harsh and seemingly unprovoked. Hopbomb's a nice guy and he's made many comments praising Carton for churning out so many cans.

 

I will only respond to this by saying, I only take offense to your comments here and the fact that you clearly are speaking of what you do not know. I have recently praised Carton quite a bit for what they have done. I'm not the type to jump on a brewery for a couple weeks of no cans. If I gave that impression maybe that's my only fault in your senseless banter. In fact, as @augiecarton will confirm I sent an unsolicited PM to him thanking him for all he's doing for our community and the fine dry hopped 077XX variant cans.

Regular Coffee on tap at Surf BBQ tonight.... ohhhhhhhhh man.

 

Since Carton is doing a tap takeover at Mad Batter in Cape May this weekend I have been expecting 077-08204 to drop ahead of that. I'll be out of the area from Saturday through Tuesday so if it drops on Sat I may be SOL.

 

Any details? I see it's part of a beer dinner but didn't buy tickets/reservations etc. Never been to Surf BBQ. Can I just hit up the bar for a Reg Coffee and a snack?

Safe bet - it happened for Mosaic too.

 

Looks like the tap takeover is from 5 - 7 and then the dinner with reservations is from 7 to 9. The bar area is separate from the "food counter". I'm sure you can roll up before 7 and get some Regular Coffee. Looks like the dinner is just a separate affair for food pairing? I'm just guessing at this point about the dinner part.

You can grab a glass of something at the bar and then order food at the counter and come back over to the bar though. You just can't order food from the bar.

Ok, people, looks like a new can out today. Sakura, a gose. I'm sure they'll do something interesting, but I'm not a big fan of goses, so have at it everyone!

Funny, when I checked beermenus like 10 minutes ago only the Sakura was listed. Now they're both listed. Either way, can't go today.

 

Even with all my excitement i'll probably hold off going until tomorrow (99% sure it will last until Sat/Sun). I'm gonna be stirring all day at work for sure.

Hey @augiecarton - any insight into which retailer will be carrying El Dorado Dub? Will Sakura see distro?

 

I def want El Dorado cans. Can't go tonight and don't feel like dealing with Shore traffic coming home from Carton tomorrow. I'm sure they'll last til Saturday and I'll head up then

 

Sakura is unique and excellent - I'd expect no less from such a great brewery. Not tart, if you're afraid of sours. Dorado is great too and furthers my theory that I don't care what hop it's with, I just love all the Dubviants.
