I know it's an odd combination, but is there a charity of sorts that comes to mind that focuses on beer events and raising money for cancer? Pints & Prostates is an example, but I'm looking for a more generic cancer charity. Thanks in advance.

By the time I through with my chemo (starting soon, I just got ported!) I hope to be retired and pay it forward to those who come through the same thing afterwards. It'll be some kind of service and if I can get beers and brewers involved, so much the better!
I'm not aware of any beer-related "general" cancer charities. Like Pints for Prostates (www.pintsforprostates.org) and the others mentioned in this thread, the ones I'm aware of are tied to fighting specific types of the disease. I'm sure some festivals and some breweries make donations directly to a cancer related organization or treatment center, but even in those cases it is likely those have specific types of cancers that they focus on. Unfortunately, there is not one type of cancer and many forms of the disease get less funding and research attention. I applaud your desire to get involved and fight against cancer. If any other thoughts occur to me I will add them to this thread.
