Ahh I see now. Never took the time to ask or translate. more than half the time at WW I point to the board or sheet to order my beer, or say only the first part. Can't ever pronounce some of them.. Or maybe its because I just don't care to try lol.

 

when I went to get cerise morte, I asked for a pour of cerise morte, and was brought myrtille...the bartender argued with me about it for a bit before giving me the beer i ordered (and I know i didn't misdispronounciate the word). The bartenders may not know how to pronounce some of them either haha

 

Well.. they love some french/euro/belgian names..

Myrtille could sound like Morte if someone was half listening, or said it differently.

How long did Cerise Morte last at the brewery? I was planning a trip to Veil next week, i'm not sure I can squeeze in an Asheville trip as well.

 

Cerise Morte sold out on Golden Angel release weekend....so right at a month I think.

 

If is the same next time... I doubt it lasts that long, unless they brew a lot more at their new facility.

 

Kiwi was sold out as of yesterday afternoon. Dammit, that didn't last long.

 

Yep, I was surprised. It sold out right around 6:15 or so.

 

Just purchased kiwi tonight at funkatorium not sure if they were too busy to restock yesterday but they were full on the shelf tonight

 

Probably had something to do with the Funk Asheville event. Those Sour Beer freaks.

 

Interesting. It seemed really odd that they had sold out already compared to how long Cerise Mort lasted, but a couple of us in the store asked multiple employees if there were more Kiwi Mort and they all said there wasn't, with one checking the back room to be certain. Guess they had it stored somewhere else and needed to restock the stock room?

 

So is Kiwi officially sold out? Going to be in the area tomorrow.

 

They had plenty on Sunday night at close on the shelf. Cant say for sure though, sorry. Worth checking though, try it on tap, buy the cheaper and tastier Bombadile.
