Is it just the hoppy saison and berliner from Aslin on Thursday?

 

Yeah. They usually do 2 new beers on thursday and saturday.

 

The Bluejacket/Ocelot collaborative DIPA is really good.

Kind of tastes like bigger Watch Me Disappear.

 

Can anyone confirm that this is available at the brewery? I'm guessing it is but their FB page just says it's being tapped at Rustico.

They need to get with it and start posting an updated tap list and bottle availability on a regular basis or actually use their webpage.

 

I just found out that they actually keep their menu up-to-date via Untappd. They actually just updated it yesterday. You can setup alerts on this page.

I was just there today, they still have them.

They also have three other bottles : Day After Day, Vacant Stares & Thought Control (I could be wrong about these three, but that is my best recollection).

More for you and me

 

Woah had my first bad DC Brau can after all these years. It was a Space Reaper and it was under carbbed and had shit floating in it. The other 5 were great. This one tasted like a horrible home brew. How is this possible from the same six pack. I thought people were exaggerating or being picky all these years, had no idea it was this bad.

 

To follow up on this, is there a good time to go if you don't care about crowlers and just want to have a beer or two on site? Haven't had Orange Starfish yet so thinking about heading over on Saturday but not so curious that I'm willing to stand in a line in 100 degree heat.

 

The line for crowlers is kept separate from bar orders. Plus they keep more for the bar than for crowlers, so you should be good whenever.

For what it's worth, I've had great luck at Aslin in the later afternoon (2-4ish) on weekends. Saturdays and Sundays around that time I've been able to roll in, get a seat at the bar, try whatever, and get crowlers pretty easily. Granted that wasn't an MoK release, but Dunley, Ontario, and other good ones were like that.

 

Was this recent? I went this past saturday and arrived at 1250, and both of the weekends releases were sold out in crowlers---I believe they were Johann the Mango Thief and Champion of the sun.

 

Is there a link like that for Aslin Beer Company?
