It seems a whole lot of insulting and name calling has emanated from those on the side of those I perceive who felt they were "royally screwed over." I learned I was an idiot today because I thought refunding the MSRP was unfair.

This is a venue with an open forum for discussion. Lot's of opinions. If you can't take the heat..............

Am I reading some of these posts right? Some of you have purchased BCBS, admittedly consumed it and enjoyed it without signs of infection or off-flavors, and now are complaining about refunds? Apparently my mind must work differently because I'm not connecting the dots between 'enjoyed the beer' with the 'need a refund'.

I understand there is a difference of opinions, but to call others idiots or claim they are posting drunk incoherent statements, is crossing the line for a discussion like this. This isn't 4chan. It just shows what type of people participate in the beer bro culture.

And we'll agree to disagree on this. Usually with a refund, you take the recalled product back to the store where it was purchased for a refund...for the price the store charged you. Then the store and the product supplier can work out the refund between themselves.

And no, my insults don't stem from disagreement with you, they stem from you misrepresenting my posts. Stick to the facts.

I can't travel to Chicago? My trade requests have nothing to do with my purchases, but funny how after searching my post history you didn't note all of my mentions of having a receipt.

But please continue with the red herrings...

If Goose Island has shown us one thing with the infected BCBS, it's who all the hoarders are.

Can you put aside your name calling and bad attitude for a moment to acknowledge that beer (and some other things) are completely different in this regard?

Can you think of a time in beer history when folks with infected beers were refunded by the brewery the full price paid at the highest priced store?

I can understand you want to compare beer to other things. But it doesn't make your point, it makes your point seem poorly thought out.

I cracked a prop and bunch of Hazelnuts, put the nuts in a food processor and letting them soak in a French Press for a half an hour. Hazelnuts are known for eating the little buggers. I'll post the results.
In other news I just found out I own a food processor.

Dave, if you can meet me half way and stop with the loaded, insulting language and bad attitude, I'm happy to return the favor.

Can you think of a time in beer history when folks with infected beers were refunded by the brewery the full price paid at the highest priced store? No.

Have I ever asked for that? No.

Now a question for you: Can you think of a time when a brewer asked customers to return infected beer to their retailer for a full refund?

Can you please explain why beer is different? Is it because there was no precedent and you are okay with that? Well maybe it's time to set a precedent and start holding breweries accountable for bad product.

So now we can say, "Well Goose Island did provide refunds for Prop and regular BCBS". So essentially, your argument is now moot because a company has done what you said they don't need to do. Now we can compare other breweries to that example.

Perhaps you are unaware that there are different rules/laws in every state in the union, including refunds of opened and unopened alcoholic products. Add to this that many folks don't have receipts, and that many beers were bought on line or traded for and there is no store to which to take them. Goose Island is doing things as best as laws and realities allow them to do. If they failed to offer refunds I would be the one, as mentioned earlier in this and other threads, leading the charge to boycott them. They are offering refunds.

The fact you don't think that the above is right doesn't change anything. The fact that you have opinions about how you think things should work doesn't change how they do work. Hope this helps you to get past your little... trouble here.

Every single one of my bottles is labeled 12 Oct 15. So far zero bad bottles, and I have had at least 6 so far.

Three floyds is pretty generous with their refunds too. they give credit for more than what you paid. Transient also did exchanges for BA Henry. Now if ABI would only refund me for all the Bud light I drank in my younger less informed years.

Is there really a need for name calling? I certainly have no dog in the fight, but it really adds nothing to the discussion.

On another note, GI admitted to their mistake and issued refunds. Shouldn't this be the end of it? Although delayed, I certainly agree that this was a great resolution to the problem. Good Job, GI.
