The Crusher…One of my fondest childhood memories, a true wrestling pro wrestling legend before that prick on the right and Vince McMahon killed the regional territories.

Here's a song about/with Da Crusher on vocals.

Well, after yard work and the Open earlier (with lunch along the way), I figured Old Pro Gose would be a nice beer to go for:

Today's damage in the background of the one picture. This one has a fairly high level of sour and salt, but I like it! Definitely have different moods for how tart I like my Gose/Berliner - and I guess I'm in a sour mood (though I'm actually quite happy right now ).

I was at a meeting in Atlanta last fall and got to stop at The Brick Store Pub. The experience was indescribable. I had a 2009 Old Stock Ale, and couldn't have been happier with my choice. This is a must stop for anyone visiting Atlanta.

I have had a number of their beers but not this one. I am a red ale fan (my favorite being a local beer called Rockville Red brewed my the Midnight Brewery). I will have to give this one a try.

    Northern Michigan, Day 2.

The shores of Traverse Bay. Wife's family reunion is in full swing. Lunch of Jimmy John's under a tent on the beach. Kids couldn't wait to get to the water.. You oldest wandered outkast to the waves still munching a Vito. Taking a break on the warm sand and enjoying both my new cheap sunglasses I picked up at Short's Brewing yesterday and Cheboygan Brewing's Blueberry Cream Ale. Hard to find downstate, but found it easily up here.

Maybe it took a few years, but it's done.
    And fine craftsmanship, I'm sure.

Excellent stuff! I was mixed about 001, but this one is a winner. Pineapples and other tropical fruit dominate. Tastes like something Cellarmaker would brew.

Would love to know what's in it. Tastes like J17 and some other experimental stuff. Keep it coming, Matt!

Onto some old brown dog ale ba. Use to be a time where this and Brooklyn brown ale were absolute staples for me. Not so much anymore but it's fun to revisit,

Mrs Wiens and I had a little lunch at York River Landing prior to the grocery store.
Brooklyn Brewery Bel-Air for her on the left and Foundation Epiphany for me on the right.

Home and unpacked. The cucumber salad and seitan are made, and I'm drinking my last Really Old Brown Dog.

A nod to you, sir! Many of us grew-up on regional wrestling. Are you there Freddie Blassie? The Sheik? Mil Máscaras? Olympic Auditorium? Does this resonate with any Californians from the Sixties?
