I think you need to cut them a little slack.

@jffry we think it will last, but not sure - just depends on crowd

In 2016 we still can't even predict the weather, let alone how long a beer will last during a bottle release.

I went around 1 pm, was in and out in about ten minutes or so. Very well run as usual (this was my first bottle release though).

The Saaz hops make up roughly 5 of those 33 ibus.

It's 2016 do you really need a crystal ball to know that 1400 bottles at 4/pp of one of Nightshifts best beers which also happens to be a barrel aged stout was gonna sell out in a couple hours?

I just think it's funny that they seem to be clueless about about the demand for some of thier beers.

I don't think they're clueless, seeing as they are very responsive via social media and are on BA as well. I'm sure there are some reasons they kept supply at that number.

im sure there is, it was more of an observation. Im surprised they thought this would last the day (as they said on social media)

Good for them glad it sold out, it's an amazing beer.

We spend way too much time deliberating over limits and in general no decision here at Night Shift is every made without thought. Just for reference Timbo Slice was 450 bottles and took 2 days to sell. I know a different style/price and limit. But with 3 times more bottles and nearly 3 times the limit our best guess was 1-2 days to sell out El Lechedor.

Space at the brewery is at a premium these days (Fun fact: there are over 150 pallets each 9 feet tall of empty cans at the brewery right now!). So getting beer out the door is always important to us but so is making beer accessible to as many people as possible. It's a balancing act. We always review the releases and adjust for the future.

Thanks all who came out and enjoyed the release! Awesome crowd as always.

I guess everyone should rsvp with a time? How do they have a clue how many people are going got show up? Just a guesstimate from last time, it's a good problem to have.

Yes everyone should RSVP with a time, great idea, they should also let NS know in advance how many bottles they want and then they can brew the correct amount for everyone! :sunglasses:

Exactly, except you can't pick and choose the barrel society beers which is why I didn't renew for a 3rd year. I found most of the stuff getting general release was more my style.

They should bring back sour future!

This is the only morph release I've had but it is f'ing amazing, also liked the harborside! Great job NSB, keep up the good work. Just wish the brewery was open longer.

Agreed on everyone talking about the 7/1 Morph. This is the best one yet--glad I got two 4-packs. Please make this a regular beer.

They are open 7 days a week, 12 hours a day. I genuinely cant fathom what you mean by this.

Tried the OHTT series for the first time this weekend which was the Topaz. I love the concept and hopefully the more I try, the more I can really identify the individual characteristics of certain hops. Really delicious beer and will be in the mix of hard decisions between morph and whirlpool and now this!

We should all know by now to show up early if it is something we really want, no matter what the brewery says/thinks. They do their best.

You aren't going to many of the breweries i go to.

There are a shit ton of greats the lemmings here don't know about. Hit the fan faves on occasion. For sure.

There are others with beers just as good/better as well. Lines are not the norm.
