The simcoe Supremacy is on point. Cinnamex, is just awesome. Heavy, heavy cinnamon, so not for everyone. I typically don't love cinnamon in beer but it plays nicely off the chiles. Tried Thai Me Tea again, still not getting a lot of tea flavor. A few people mentioned letting it warm up a bit, which I didn't. A lot of people seem into it though, I saw a lot of pours being had and multiple growler fills of it while in last night.

I need to get in there...won't be tonight. maybe tomorrow. I need that Simcoe in my life.

Man, I love that pour. Yes the tea flavor is subtle, but I think they nailed it. Also tried the Cinnamex for the first time and that one is not for me. Just too much Cinnamon. It is the first time I have had one of their beers and thought, "I would never drink this." Considering how many of their beers I have had, that is pretty impressive.

The new beer going on today is really really great.

Blue Balls, imperial stout with blueberries. I stopped in and tried it on the way home from work. It's a pretty solid beer, but I definitely got more blueberry in the nose than in the flavor profile.

^^^we stopped in as well to have it. The beer reminded me a lot of Shipyard smashed blueberry, which I really like. Tons of blueberry on the nose, a good amount in the flavor, some alcohol bite in there as well. I will get it again next time I am in.

Stopped into Deviate on my way back from Valparaiso yesterday.

Firstly, I was very surprised that it was a Bengals place! Definitely got some points wearing a Bengals shirt when I walked in.

Friend and I each got a flight:

Blue Balls - Great mouthfeel. Would be a great stout on it's own. Subtle blueberry was nice.

Chocolate Milk - Great porter, nice chocolate flavors. Was getting a little spicyness (like cinnamon, but not quite.) and the owner said he thought that was weird, but commented that the beer has changed a lot since release. Either way, was good, just curious if they added something else.

Cinnamex - Holy Cinnamon Bomb! Really enjoyed it. The peppers left a nice residual heat in the throat.

Hop Extramecy - Really solid DIPA.

Pandora's Box - This beer is a Gose. My friend doesn't like Gose's so he slid it over to me. It was really nice, had a creamy mouthfeel. Was definitely interesting. Not really my style either, but I appreciated it.

Overall, had a great stop. Wanted to get a growler fill to share with friends at home, but a standard IPA and a Gose don't generally go over too well with my group of friends (not hop heads like myself). Will definitely go back next time I'm in town!

Slid over to Black Acre afterwards, per recommendations. Woof. Not impressed.

13% BA wheat wine on draft this Saturday. A few things have fallen off the board lately (Extremacy, Opulancy most recently) and have been replaced with a gose and new pale ale.

It is very likely that the GF and I will be there Saturday. We'll probably do our normal Indy loop of Indiana City, Black Acre, Deviate, Daredevil.

Anybody have thoughts on Liquid Grace? We stopped in Friday night to give it a try, we both thought it was great. Found it surprisingly dank. Wasn't around the rest of the weekend so don't know where it ended up, but hope to be lucky and snag another couple pours before it taps out.

A bunch of new stuff popping up on the board the last week or two. Liquid Grace is still up. In addition to:
    • Apple-wood smoked porter
    • Pale ale with tangerine zest (the pale w/tangelo zest was fantastic!)
    • Grapefruit Death Punch (grapefruit DIPA)
I'll be heading over tomorrow night to dip into some of these for sure. Can't wait to try the Death Punch.

Was there last night and got a couple growler fills and pours of supremacy and cinnamex. Also there was a guy there who asked to fill his bullet with Blue Balls and he was really disappointed they don't allow fills for non-members....so I asked them to fill his growler and punch my card. Glad to help out a Deviate fan. I told him more about the club and hopefully he'll join when the chance presents itself.

I talked with Greg for a while and they recently kegged a "northeast IPA meets West Coast IPA" and it'll go on once they go through the current batch of Supremacy. Supposed to be hazy, super juicy, with loads of citrus. Very much looking forward to it. We talked a lot about Tree House beers and he sounded like he wants to do some things like that.

I had the same conversation with Greg about 3 or 4 weeks ago. One of the BA members here brought in some Tree House, and I think it left an impression.

It was bound to happen, but they put out a beer I didn't care for. The Death Punch was not my thing. Looking forward to the "something awesome is coming"

Has there been any talk of opening up to new members? Starting this Fall I will be in Indy 2x a week for class, and that will probably continue for quite some time.
