This project sounds like a logistical nightmare, so I wish you good luck!! And I'll be waiting at my favorite store at 7 AM for my 6-pack if you really want a challenge. (They honestly do open that early.)

Interesting because the way our distributor works in the GR, it seem like "fresh" Huma being stocked on the shelves is already a month or more old.

Well, we have a production schedule and that production schedule has to keep moving, accordingly. It's virtually impossible to have a beer like Huma be like this one, because we constantly have to keep it in stock in order to fulfill our accounts needs, particularly the chains like Meijer- they do not like out of stock issues. We always try to forecast so we have the freshest product on the shelf, but this industry does not always work like a Swiss watch. One month old is actually pretty good, all things considered.

Fully understand, and certainly wasn't trying to put you on the defensive. And yes, for my tastes month old Huma is fine as it has given time for the astringent bitterness to fade a bit leading to a much more balanced beer.

The same day distribution model of Psychedelic Cat Grass sounds really ambitious - I love seeing Shorts pushing themselves like this.

I'll be looking for it on August 17th!

Thanks Shorts for giving us in your distribution footprint an opportunity for a super fresh IPA - I know I've challenged you in the past few months in getting your IPA's in my hands faster (in SE MI). Nice to see something with a bottle date less than two weeks old and in the spirit of what you are doing I promise to drink one (probably more) of these within 60 minutes of purchasing.

Looking forward to a beer I've never had from you guys as well!!!

Was just at the pub earlier today and got a flight of some pub only brews. Starshot was amazing and I hope it gets a wider release one day. Truly a unique lager.
Oh, and Rosie Palmer > Power of Love, IMHO.

Power of Love isn't a beer, it's a delicious lemon raspberry herbal soda pop.

Thank goodness Power of Love is a low ABV beer. Crushability rating is off the charts.

Unfortunately, I did not enjoy Power of Love. I think it was the rosemary, but I'm not entirely sure. This is only the 2nd release this year that I wished I had bought a single before committing to a sixer.

Also unfortunate - I finished my last MMB over the weekend. Worked my way through 2 full cases this spring/summer. Well done, Short's. Best I could tell my last bottle was still as good as the day they released it. Anyone ever get a straight answer as to the true ABV of MMB?

Yeah, I get that. But the listing here on Beer Advocate, along with several other places on the web, had the ABV at 6.1%. Even in the news section on Shorts site they refer to it as being 6.1%. https://www.shortsbrewing.com/meltmybrain2016/ I could see confusion with the gin barrel aged but all these places say 6.1 and not 7.1. I've asked the question in a few different Shorts threads, and never got an answer.

What say ye, @HopHeadHerman Can you clarify the confusion?

I would tend to believe 3.50%, based on how easy they were to drink in multiples and have to imagine the unfermented tonic water and lime juice likely diluted the golden ale a bit???

I would also tend to agree. I wonder if the base beer they brewed was 6.1%, and then they blended that beer with tonic water resulting in a final product with 3.5%.

Kind of like the Power of Love, which I can only imagine is blended with raspberry lemonade?
