Twin Cities Bottle Hunt - 2016 Edition

I've had this at the end of my bottle before - my guess is it's a chocolate issue (maybe similar to the Black Butte 22 bottling). Taste was still spot on...

 

I've had plenty with zero issues. And having a 'clump' in a beer has nothing to do with infection.

 

A snotty clump though...did it taste off? Buttery?

 

Did it look like this?

 

Yes, all of them have been like that so far. That's normal and ok. Pour gently so that it stays in the bottle. It's ok to drink the clump, but doesn't feel too good.

This is why 99% of the beer that I drink gets poured into a glass first. Unknowingly drinking this giant booger thing is gross and disturbing.

 

Someone at reddit had this pour out of a bottle of Speedway. This was the response from one of the QC techs at Alesmith:

 

It's been a while, but Cub off Rice on 36 had some, and even BBS and BBBW about a month or two ago.

Does Fulton Bottle date 300? I picked up a 6er last week and couldn't find a date anywhere.

 

Not that I've been able to see, & it's a shame. Such a good beer, but it's like gambling to pick it up without a bottled date.

 

They date on the case. Not on the bottle or 6 pack holder.

 

IOW, the date is for business purposes (inventory management, distribution, etc.) and not for consumer information. Annoying.

 

Heritage had a fair amount of Black Butte available.

 

Pretty sure you're supposed to fry that up and put it on your toast.

 

Anyone know if Nova still has any SuMo or XHops? Thought we were gonna see some in the Twin Cities but doesn't look like it.

 

Was there last night and there was still plenty of both. They had a 6 bottle limit on SuMo.
