DC Metro area bottle share?

I would actually be free Thurs but not Fri. I would be up for a share if there were some other people down. Already messaged bpgitt10 but thought I'd let other people know I'd be up for thurs.

Sorry guys but Friday doesn't work on my end so I have to stick with the Thursday date this time around. I put in the request for the club room today so I'll keep you posted on when that gets approved. I don't see a reason why it wouldn't be approved so should be good to go.

So far had a decent response. What is the minimum number of people want to say we definitely do this? I am ok with any number really. Right now I think we have 6 BAs plus 2 (my gf being one) so 8 overall. That seems like enough to do it to me.

 

I as well am up for any number. How many bottles should each person bring? I might have a plus one but I will let you know.

I will also post a list of stuff I am willing to bring sometime this weekend.

 

The Vera Mae would be awesome if you don't mind bringing that. The Huna is something I absolutely LOVE... but I've had it a few times so I would say share it with your friend unless the others on here are jonesing for it.

Does anyone have any preferences on what I crack open? The list is here: http://goo.gl/lwxVh. These are the only ones off-limits... 02 Westy, Black Tuesday, DL 07-10, BB4D, Beatification, and Depth Charge. All of those are promised to others to taste with them.

 

+1 to KH, that would be killer. I could bring Event Horizon, Abraxas, BBPt5. I miiiiiiiight have a bottle of CCB Leon, pending a trade, along with '12 and '11 Zhukov. I think I've got a bottle or two of BA4D knocking around, too

 

Rock on. This is already shaping up to be an awesome tasting. The BBPt5 would be AWESOME to try. That'd be my personal #1 choice followed by Event Horizon then Leon (though those are very close).

I'm already getting pumped.

 

Well looks like life will be getting in the way of this one. Hope we can start to set these up semi regularly though so I can make it to one soon.

You absolutely should join. Not having rare stuff doesn't matter at all in my book. Bring something tasty... maybe not a a stout since it looks like we'll be quite heavy there... and that's all that matters. Hell, you can bring some snacks and that's good enough in my book.

Regardless, if you want to come, you definitely should!

 

I'd love to be in on this, but can't do anything beer related for a bit. If we are getting together a group to do this again, I'd love to be on the list!

 

Just moved to NW DC, near 14th and U. Anyone know any good liquor stores with good beer selection? All I found are the ones where everything is behind bulletproof glass -.-

 

Just checked out Batch 13. Pretty decent selection. They're gonna start selling single bottles as soon as they get w/e they need to be able to do that.
