Carton Brewing (July 2016)

Ill be going Saturday, hopefully they last with a case limit.

 

If it's a gose as mentioned above, there should be some tartness present.

 

I'll be heading to the PGA Championship in less than two weeks on the 26th at the Baltursol Golf Club in Springfield Township. That's a Tuesday, and I saw Carton is closed.

Having said that 1.) where would be my best bet to get some Carton at a distributor or six pack place that's south of Springfield (I'll be heading back to Philly), and 2.) what beers should I expect to come across, if any?

Very tough. First, all beer that's canned is in 4 packs. You have to check their website for places that get their beer. Then you have to call the place that's near you to see if they have any in stock. Carton just released two beers in cans today, but I don't know if they're sending any out to distro. They self distro by the way. Your best bet is to get a growler filled at a liquor store that carries Carton. Not easy, man. I would try joe canals in Woodbridge/Iselin.

Do they only fill their own growlers, or can you take any?

 

All liquor stores in NJ (and most breweries) will fill any growlers. You might also try Super Buyrite in North Plainfield.

Good to hear. Going to stop tomorrow night to grab some dub cans and hopefully get a Sakura sample and purchase cans accordingly.

 

I went to the one in Red Bank and got confused . . . I never live up to my BA promises. Sorry! Hit the brewery though. Drinking Sakura number 2 now! Feeling #blessed to get 3 Carton sours this summer. Wild, Berliner, Gose. Whew!

There is some. It's just balanced well - not too scary.

Both cans are still a case per so should be no problem getting your fill.

 

Another great experience today, in and out super quick with 2 four packs of each. I'm so spoiled with O'dub variants.

 

I'm curious about the decision to put this sessionable sour in a 12oz can. Was it so more could get around? Cost? Other reason?
