Basically a link to a YouTube video I found interesting. It's from two months ago, and forum search results hit nothing on the entire title, so...

The first part is mostly about business, the second half gets into beers. Found it fairly interesting, including his discussion on the private equity firm that bought a piece of Dogfish. Actually listening to the last ten minutes as I post, hope nothing untoward happens in that time .

(Edit: this site does get a mention late)

Thanks for that. Some interesting stuff here.

At a personal level I also thought there was some interesting indirect stuff going on in that interview. For example, the CBC and the interview were held in Philly (I've been to the World Cafe more than once). Toward the end there was a question about dirty tap lines. The reason that was interesting to me is that a) I almost never have had that problem, and b) PA has a law in place that requires that the bar owner pay to have the lines cleaned at least once every seven days. So that bar owner was not tending to business and s/he should and/or the law hasn't a full set of teeth when it comes to enforcement.

That makes what I thought was a strange aside even more interesting. I noted the Yard's reference and at that point looked where this was taking place. Initially I took it as a random point to get to the "more interesting macro" question of how do breweries deal with being far enough from their consumer, in certain cases. Not sure what Sam could've said other than what he did, but the fact that it's a concept that's out there and the BA has thoughts (i.e. guidelines) on it is interesting to me.
