The first act should be to clarify what happened last year.

After the hot garbage that was last year's WtF, there is a whopping 0% change of me going again this year. Even IF last year's wasn't as poorly run, and it was an awful mess, the price of admission still wouldn't have been worth it for me. At this point, I'll take a bottle share at my home over any festival.

So I expect an announcement August 3rd that WTF will be the week after/before GABF week.

Considering what an absolute disaster the event was last year, and especially the fact that CS never once acknowledged what happened or the fact that their patrons were really upset, I absolutely will not be going to WTF this year. It just isn't worth the risk as there's no indication that CS plans to improve anything (or acknowledgement from them that anything was wrong last year) and I don't like supporting companies with a "don't give a shit" attitude.

We're definitely doing GABF this year so we'll be heading through Springs. We're also gonna try to make it up to Casey again sometime around Labor Day weekend.

Hell yeah, just text me man. I'll be in Denver for a night during GABF week and a Casey trip is always on the table. I won't shit all over WtF again (I have another post or two ITT, but seriously, you can spend your money in so many better ways.

I'm in the same boat. Coming in Wednesday. Guess they made the decision for me if this is true.

FWIW, since they are not so great at communicating....

Per American Solera (Chase Healey) which will be there, What The Funk!? Invitational Festival is on Tuesday, October 4th. (Per Facebook, and as announced previously ITT)

Hmmm let me think: Pay a ton of money to attend an event where the volunteers are wasted and already drank much of the good stuff before the doors even opened (a delayed opening, at that), oversold and so packed you couldn't move, one bathroom, a blatant fire code situation, 1 food station, understaffed pouring stations, long ass lines and an event organizer who couldn't even be bothered to acknowledge the situation and promise to do better next year. Hell will freeze over before they see another dollar from me. I know the allure of "rare" beer is strong, but I hope everyone remembers what a disaster this event was, and how little the organizers - specifically Yetta Vorobik - care about your experience.

Anyone have an idea on when the Breweries/Beers for GABF will be announced?

Or an estimate based on past years?

For GABF itself? Or for WtF!? No idea for either but I am sure someone will post up the WtF!? list in here when it's available. GABF is a separate entity.
